Pairings- Dez/Trish

***Trish's pov***

Someone taps my shoulder. I turn around to see Dez, smiling like he always is, standing behind me. He had a Tee-shirt with a mustache on it with striped shorts.

"What are you doing here, Freckles?" I ask. It's a warm summer day- why isn't he with Austin?

"I was going to ask you if you'd like to go out with me tonight..?" Dez asks. "I mean- I understand if you don't want to."

Dez is so sweet and gentle; how has he not gotten a girlfriend yet?

Wait- what was I thinking? How could I ever like a guy like Dez? We have almost nothing in common. Not to mention that us being together would get awkward when explaining it to Austin and Ally.

"Yeah, I'll go with you." I say.

He smiles. "I'm not going to tell you where we're going- you'll have to figure that out on your own."

"Alright." I say, smiling. "I have one question, though."

"What?" he asks.

"Why aren't you with Austin?"

"Because he's spending the day with Kira." Dez pauses. "But I really do like you, Trish. I have for a long time."

I smile. Who knew Dez could be so romantic?

That evening at six-thirty, Dez grabs my hand and starts to lead me to where he is taking me.

"You want to know where we're going?" he asks.

"Sure." I say.

"The seventh Zalien movie came out last weekend." Dez says, a smile playing with the corner of his lips. "You do like those movies, don't you?"

"Yeah. I've seen all of them except for this new one." I say. "The sixth one was horrible."

"Agreed." he says. "Everyone that I've talked to who's seen it wants to forget about it completely."

"Including you?" I ask.

"Including me." Dez says, laughing slightly.

The night seems to go a lot faster than it should. Before I know it, Dez and I are walking out of the theater close, but not actually touching.

"What did you think of the movie, Dez?" I ask, hoping to start a good conversation.

"I loved it. Both the zombies and the aliens were perfect! Even though those stupid humans didn't see the zaliens coming." he says.

I smile. "Stupid humans? Where does that sound familiar?" A look of shock shows on Dez's face. "Kidding." I say, before he can think anything else of the comment. "But you can act like an idiot."

"I do not. I just act like me." he says.

'Which is almost the same thing.' I think, but end up not saying anything.

The next day, Dez walks into the Sonic Boom where Ally and I are talking. I manage not to tell her what exactly happened last night, even though Ally is sure something has happened.

"I forgot to ask you last night.. what did you think of the movie?" Dez asks.

"I knew something happened!" Ally says happily.

"Couldn't keep your mouth shut, could you, Dez?" I say jokingly.

"You didn't tell me to." he says.

I smile and whisper to myself, "Such an idiot."
