Tina stood in front of her friends, smiling shyly. Why was she so nervous? It wasn't like she didn't know these people. She hung out with all of them for hours after school, just singing and practicing their favorite songs. Her eyes scanned the diverse crowd.

There was Mercedes, who she sent countless text messages to when things where going bad. She was like their back bone in a way. Sure, she had the bad habit of telling people everything she heard, but she really meant well. There were so many times Mercedes supported the group and often, her hard work and dedication went unappreciated.

Santana sure knew how to start trouble, but everyone knew she really liked being in glee club. Maybe she went too far sometimes, but in the end, they wouldn't trade her talent for anything.

Sam was kind of an unknown to Tina. Sure, people thought he wasn't so smart or whatever, but Tina usually gave him the benefit of the doubt. She had never really spoken to him, but he seemed nice enough. Lauren hadn't been in Glee long enough yet to judge her, but Tina kind of liked her take no prisoners attitude.

Tina smiled, remembering the times she had messed around with Finn and Puck. She remembered when she had first met them and was practically terrified of them. Finn turned out to be really nice and Puck... Puck was just a boy. They both had a lot to learn about life, but they were harmless. Tina knew she could count on them to back her up when she needed it.

Quinn had always confused Tina, to be honest. She could be really nice when she was in the mood, but if she wanted to, she could totally rip you a new one. Tina gave her this much... Even though Quinn had gotten in some sticky situations, she sure knew how to play her cards right.

In many ways, Rachel was the polar opposite of Quinn. She was still so niave, but she could pretty much always be counted on to have the same loud reaction to things. Rachel would always be, well, Rachel and there were things you just couldn't help liking about her.

Brittany was much the same as Rachel in that respect. You just couldn't hold much against the girl and Tina couldn't help liking her despite her idiosyncrasies.

Tina finally turned her attention to her boyfriend and started to sing the romantic song. Mike was so kind to everyone he met. He was so funny and so earnest and Tina just liked everything about him. He was almost too perfect.

And Tina's attention turned to one of the more imperfect members of their team. She had avoided his gaze before, but he looked so happy. Some people would fault him for being too opinionated. They would say he had too many double standards and he judged too harshly. At one point, Tina had seen those faults all too well. She couldn't stand how he was so hung up on stupid things that no one could change. But now, she could barely remember why she had been mad at him. He had so much courage, so much enthusiasm for life. He had helped her through the hard times just by throwing a smile her way. He glanced at his current girlfriend and Tina lost it. She tripped over the words of the song until doubled over in tears. It hurt too much to admit, but Tina was still in love with Artie Abrams.
