A/N: This one-shot thingy is dedicated to my sunshine, Sky.

A smirk formed on his lips as he watched the other fail a cartwheel.

"You weren't really trying, were you?" Sasuke asked.

Naruto laid on the grass, the sunlight caressing his foolish grin as he stared at the clouds.

Sasuke refused to budge from the shade under the tree, amused by the blonde's playful cavorting around the park.

"Why don't you come over here?" Naruto questioned, tilting his head slightly. "That cloud looks like a sky."

"What? That makes no sense," Sasuke commented.

"Then come over here!" Naruto waved frantically. "Seriously, that patch over there. Right there."

Sasuke scooted over beside his friend.

"That's... a cirrus cloud," he remarked.

An enthusiastic grin replied. "Yeah, that entire section is like a miniature sky inside the sky!"

The darker haired boy gave a disbelieving smile. "Sure, let's go with that."

"And that one over there is a chainsaw!" Naruto continued, continuing his scouting for interestingly shaped clouds.

Sasuke pointed at a random direction. "That's a loop."

"Oh, you mean that ringblade?" Naruto asked. Sasuke turned to stare.

"You are turning these fluffy, barely solid clouds into weapons," he stated.

"Yes. Yes I am," Naruto responded, rolling to face Sasuke. "You find a shape."

"... Hn, fine. I see... A kunai."

"You're just continuing my deadly clouds list!" Came a protest.

Sasuke chuckled. "You expected me to actually see something?"

Naruto pretended to gasp. "You mean you don't?"

"They're just clouds," Sasuke responded, shaking his head lightly.

"That's sort of sad," Naruto said flatly.

Sasuke shrugged, standing up. "I'll see you around later."

"Hey! Where are you going?" Naruto rolled into a sitting position.

"It was nice hanging out like this. But I've got to go train now. Later," Sasuke replied, walking off.

Naruto frowned. He realized there was probably more to it than simple training, as they both could have trained together.

A scrap of paper laid abandoned near the tree.

'So that's what he was doing there. Writing,' Naruto thought, picking up the shred to find the following in Sasuke's handwriting:

I don't want to taint the sunlight

Beautiful, inspiring

The dark clouds above me threaten to soil it if I get too close

I don't want to dim the joy provided

Rare moments of bliss

That make enduring the storm of enraged melancholy worthwhile
