Battle Scars

Leia had started storming off in the direction of the Millenium Falcon in search for one Han Solo. There was absolutely no reason he should use the High Command comm to call her to his ship. When she finally reached the Falcon Han was waiting for her by the ramp.

"How in the galaxy's name did you manage to access the High Command comm link and why would you call me here in a way the entire base can hear?"

"Well your worship I just wanted to inform you that General Reeiken has assigned you to go on a mission with me next week." He says with a signature lop-sided grin knowing that he made her mad and purposely ignoring her first question.

"I am fully aware of our mission so there was no point in calling me to discuss it." Why does this man have to be so handsome but aggravating at the same time?

She then storms away but in the process fails to realize there is a crate in her path and trips and falls.

"Be careful where you're going sweetheart, we wouldn't want your royalness hurt." Han moves to give Leia a hand up but notices her failed attempt to cover her arm in the process. Knowing what this most possibly is, he starts dragging her toward his ship.

"Captain what do you think you are doing?" Oh gods please tell me he didn't see.

Still pulling her toward the ship.

Why would she do this to herself, she's been through so much already. "Just come with me, we need to talk."

Oh no this can't be good. He leads her into his bunk room.

"Sit, don't worry you're not here for what you think."

Leia, still not so sure about the situation hesitantly sits down on the far end of the bunk from Han after he closes the door.

Oh gods this is going to scare her to death but I love her and can't let this go unnoticed. "Show me your arm."

"NO…what…no." Oh no he did see, he did see.

"Please Leia, I think you know what I saw and I just want to make sure you're ok. I do care about you, you know."

He cares about me… I care about him too. Slowly when she doesn't give a reply Han moves closer to her and starts to lift her sleeve. She doesn't fight against him to his surprise and reveals neat cut marks all along her arm.

"Oh gods Leia why would you do this?"

Trying to hold back tears she practically jumps on Han and hugs him. He then wraps his arms around her in a cradling position as to comfort her.

"Leia 'I love you don't do this' listen to me for a minute please."

Neither move from their position, Han still cradling Leia. She replies, "Ok but just hold me."

"I may not understand why you do this and I may never understand but I am always here for you whenever you need it." He pulls her tighter as she begins to cry. He knows what she went through on the Death Star and figures this is her way of coping. Suddenly she struggles and he lets her go.

"No you're not! No one is and you're leaving soon!" She screams through tears as she stands in front of him not trying to hold her tears back any more.

"Hey, hey, it's ok, I don't have to go anywhere, I can stay right here if you want me to." Can I?

Who does he think he is, my keeper? "I can take care of myself."

Han moves to sit with her on the floor where she now fell, her sleeve still pushed up he runs his fingers gently across her cuts. "I don't think you can Leia. People who are mentally stable don't do this to themselves."

He pulls her closer into an embrace once more. "Maybe you're right." What are you saying, you don't agree with Han Solo. Would he really stay for me?

Han, surprised she agreed with him pulls her even closer. "I'm not going anywhere for a while Princess, you can always come talk to me."

They continue to sit there in the floor holding each other for several hours until they both fell asleep.
