The Selected Place!
Prologue!
Michiru Kaiou smiled at the setting sun, her eyes alight with happiness. The 17 year old painter sat basking in the glow of the sun, her hair pulled half-way up in a bright, red bow. She pushed her turquoise green bangs out of her face, and sat admiring the sunset, and also, her finished painting.
The painting was of an house, with a backdrop of a setting sun and the purple and pink hues that accompanied it. The house was painted red with white trimmings and a slate, gray roof. The same house Michiru remembered growing up in....
She then brushed the thoughts of home and family away, her mind only focusing on the sunset's beauty. She could not remember having last seen the sun this vibrant, or the sea this calm.
She smiled at the thought, the sea, it was calm today. Unlike yesterday when the cruise ship she was touring on was rocked by stormy seas, and rough waves. She then pushed her chair back and stood up, her eyes on her painting that she intended to leave out to dry in the cool air.
"It's really a wonderful painting." Said a almost masculine voice behind her. Michiru smiled once more, and turned to see her friend, Haruka, looking at the painting in a sense of awe inspired by beauty.
Inside, Michiru's heart swelled, and she asked, "Do you really like it?"
"Yes... It reminds me of you." Haruka said, as she walked over and leaned on the handrail.
Haruka's short blonde hair moved gently in the light breeze, and her grip on the rail was relaxed. Her blue eyes looked out onto the vast ocean, and watched the colors swirl from the sky.
"It was... my home. A long time ago. I did not think that anyone would appreciate it the way I wanted them to. Are you sure that is what it reminds you of?" Michiru asked, her blue eyes filling with concern and worry.
Haruka turned to face Michiru and smiled at her. "Yes, that's the feeling that I get from it."
Michiru did not looked pleased, and said in a tense voice, "I am tired, would you put it up for me.. I am going to bed." She walked away, and Haruka wondered what she had done to upset her.
Krylancelo Note:
This is just a prologue, and I am hoping to start a long story up, with the main character being Michiru Kaiou. Thanks and happiness to anyone who reviews, and my disclaimer goes as follows. Michiru Kaiou and Haruka Ten'ou are all property of Sailor Moon's creator, Naoko Takeuchi. I unfortunately do not have any ownership.
