Lol this season finale got me tight.
The clinking sound of the dagger falling got her out of her trance. Not the calling of her name, not the shaking of her shoulders.
No.
Its that fallen dagger that brought her to bitter reality. The silver waved blade with that dark as night handle looked at her. Just stared right into her.
She shook out of Robins grasp. She couldn't bear to be held by him now. She walked for what seemed like miles until she reached it. Looking down at it, she sees her name.
The name of the woman who saved her yet again.
The name of the woman who never lost hope with her.
The name of the woman who helped her find her happy ending.
The name of the woman who kept her promise even in the end. Even if it meant sacrificing everything.
Emma Swan.
The name of the woman who sacrificed her happiness for someone who isnt allowed it.
BUT WHY?! She had everything! Regina fell down to her knees and tried her best to choke back the sobs but couldnt do it. Emma Swan, the product of True Love, the birth mother of a wonderful boy and the lover of a man.
"Why did you do it? Why couldnt you just let me live my fate? Im not meant for happiness Emma! Why did you save me?" She thought as she looked at the ground where the savior just stood mere moments ago before the darkness took her away. She closed her eyes but the second she did, she was greeted with the image of Emma sacrificing herself yet again. Another sob broke out of her as she re opened her eyes.
I promised you your happy ending.
"No Emma. What you did was beyond selfish. How can I live happily knowing you gave away your purity to the darkness for me? How can I live happily if Henry cant see you anymore?" If I cant see you anymore?
"Emma Swan, if I said it once, I said it a thousand times. You are an idiot" She hissed out with tears running and leaving burning tracks down her face. She hears her name being called but she doesnt react. How can she? Her..friend?, just once again, risked her life for someone who can never gain true happiness. Reginas body shook with silent sobs as she was holding Emmas dagger.
"Oh god Emma, why?" It seemed like the thousandth time she had asked that. Regina covered her face to try and hide the tears. "I did everything I could to make sure Rumple didnt turn you dark but in the end, I failed. I couldnt protect you like how you always protect me. I let you down and im so sorry"
"Regina, this isnt your fault" Robin said trying to comfort her. Regina stood up but didnt face him or the rest.
"Robin, you have no idea what its like to be 'dark'. Its not pretty, not for anyone around it, let alone in it, but so help me I wont have our savior become a monster." With that, Regina disappeared in a cloud of smoke and reappeared in front of her mirror. She took one long look at her bloodshot eyes. Her mascara running as fast as her tears and her nose was stuffed. She was a mess but she didnt care about that right now. She looked down at the dagger in her hand and it was then she promised herself.
"Emma Swan, I may not be a Charming and god help me when I say this, but I will find you. Not the darkness that has taken over you. You Emma Swan, I will find the light behind all that darkness. The same light that was brought into me by you. Because theres not a chance in hell I will live my happy ending without you being a part of it."
