Banshee - Lydia
The banshee are an intelligent race, immune to the chaos of change. They are beautiful creatures, false where others are true, deceptive when it least suits them best, and yet — only ever willing to give of their nature in exchange for the aura of power they consume, produce, exude.
Lydia Martin just so happens to be one of those beautiful monsters, and Stiles loves her all the more for it.
(She doesn't need anyone to be the Queen she knows she'll always be.)
Contrary to popular belief, though, Stile knows when he's out of league. He's crushed on Lydia since the third grade, and it means nothing in the present.
(Because the banshee chooses a mate for life, and — and Lydia's already got Jackson, no matter how much she wants to hate him now.)
It's not like this is anything new, either, though; Lydia will survive, because she's just like water, changing her shape to fit in, but never, ever wiping out that mental spark that makes her, well, her.
