Fic Challenge/Ideas I'd like to see put into motion.
Hello everyone, I have very many ideas, but not quite the patience or time to put them into an actual fic. So I figured I'd do the next best thing. Put them out there and let other people play with them.
This time it's NBC's Revolution.
Here's a quick summary for those who don't know it. It really is excellent, and everone should totally check it out!
Electricity, power; from transportation, to medicine, to ways to communicate, we are now more dependant on technology and electricity than ever before. But what would happen if, in the blink of an eye, that power was suddenly gone. Well Revolution explores what might happen if that were the case.
When an unexplained blackout wiped out all electricity, the world changed forever. Nothing worked; hospitals failed, planes crashed, and governments fell. In the beginning panic and fear spread like wildfire, people died in the streets. Neighbors killed eachother to steal the best rescources, bandits and murderers roamed the streets, death and misery was everywhere.
15 years later in a reigion ruled by Militias, Charlie Matheson and her companions must risk their lives to save her brother from a corrupt government while trying to uncover the secret behind the blackout.
Okay so anyway, back to my ideas. Well here goes.
1) I'd love to see a fic where charlie somehow goes back in time and has to figure out how to stop the blackout from happening, all the falling in love with Bass Monroe despite her better judgement. Maybe Jason can tag along, but not as a current lover.
2) Miles and Bass wake up in their past bodies in the past a few years before the blackout. Now they have to figure out how to stop it.
3) Charlie, Miles, and Jason switches places with their counterparts from a parallel world where the blackout never happened. Racheal didn't start having complications until she was eight months along and so though he was born too soon, and still has asma he was born without being in critical danger. Now they have to learn to adapt to/survive in each other's worlds and find a way back home. But as the canon trio spend more time in this parallel paradise will they want to go back even they can?
I prefer them going back in the end, besides, no matter how well they adapt their counterparts would never be as suited to the harsh world as them. But in learning from each other's worlds they can gain the skills and experience to help better their homes in the end.
4) More fics about the Bass/Charlie pairing than are out there.
5) Danny goes back in time.
6) The main cast recieve a message from the future on their tv's a few years before the blackout. Scenes play of them as they are fifteen years in the future. How will they react to seeing themselves like that? What will they do to stop it?
7) Charlie Matheson's sweet sixteen is wildly interrupted when four injured people in wierd clothes appear out of nowhere right in the middle of the room. Miles, Charlie, Danny and Monroe find themselves in altenate unverse staring down their younger counterparts in a world where the blackout never happened.
