Prologue

Arriving at my new humble place, showing no emotion as my driver opened up the door, knowing in the inside I would be crying and cuddled up to my bed all day.

This choice had me leave everything behind, I have to start over as a whole new person.

Stronger,

Emotionless,

Leadership,

and most of all gain Respect.

Know your enemies, or you will fail.

Don't show weakness, or you will fail.

Control your fucking town or you will fail.

Most importantly know who works for you or I quote will. Fail.

Stumbling out the car, I land on the concrete, while I struggle to get up my driver rushes to my side.

"Are you okay?" He asks.

I swat him away and pull myself up and sit against the car with my hands buried in my hair. "I-I cant do this, David. How am I going to control a whole city by myself?" I cried in my knees.

"Hey, there sweetie. I know you can do it. I've seen you grow up from a beautiful little baby to the strong woman you are today. Your dad will be proud, Simone." David told me when he knelt down in front to comfort me. "Come on, we need to go inside." He narrowed his eyes and looked around, then pushed me towards my new building.

Sniffling, I straiten up my posture, and open the door. Hearing all the noise that was once noticeable outside was now silenced. I looked at each curious worker in the eye, knowing that they know who I am, and what my purpose here is.

I cringe when they stop to the side or bow their head slightly. I walk down the endless hallway and come face to face with a large black door with the name Jackson engraved at the base. I wrinkle my nose and unlock it. Opening I stepped in and took a whiff of the air. Instantly regretting it, because their sent is masked over the room. David cleared his throat to tell me to continue, I proceeded. Skimming my hands over the smaller seating chairs as I walked by to go to hi-my desk. Knowing that once I sit down, there's no turning back. The old Simone has vanished and the new one has come out to play. I slowly pull the chair out and look forward, to sit down. Instantly David runs towards me with a handkerchief and grabs my face with his hands.

" Don't you dare cry right now." He demanded. "You clean those tears this instant." He didn't give me the time to answer as he wiped my face as I scowled at him. I rolled my eyes as I pushed the wet napkin away, and mentally censured myself for being so emotional.

"I'm fine." I Looked at his blue eyes watching him search mine, I just blankly stared back and picked up the phone.

She answered on the first ring.

"Hey Ash, I have a job for you."
