Jenny shuffled into the kitchen, sniffling and sneezing, accidentally waking up Vastra who was sleeping in front of the fireplace. Jenny was making her way over to the teapot to make herself some Earl Grey when she heard the sound of scaled feet on hardwood floor. She turned around and faced a worried looking Vastra. "Did I wake you? I'm sorry. this bloody cold is keeping up the whole neighbourhood, I swear." She sighed. vastra looked at Jenny, tilting her head to one side in confusion. " A… cold? Am I wrong in believing that apes… I mean humans, don't go into hibernation? But surely if you have a cold I must get you some blankets and sit you in front of the fire. maybe a warm bath? But hibernation has never made me or my kind make such noises with our nasal appendages." Vastra looked Jenny up and down. Jenny sighed. "You oblivious little lizard you, I am sick." Jenny shook her head, for such a smart lizard-woman, Vastra was very… unaware at times. Vastra's eyes widened. "Sick? you are sick? My dear do you have Cholera? The plague? E-coli? Do I need to call The Doctor? Are you going to be okay?" Vastra spewed off all of these questions very quickly while circling around Jenny, checking her pulse, looking down her throat, checking her pupils and going to look up her nose when Jenny pushed her hands away. "Ma'am, I simply have a cold, I'm minorly ill. Just the sniffles, sneezes and the occasional harmless, but bloody LOUD, coughing fit. It's no big deal. Really." Vastra thought about this for a second, mentally going through numerous diagnosis and finally came to one. "OH! So you are saying you have nasopharyngitis? The respiratory illness that is most present in the nasal appendage?" Jenny stared at Vastra, mentally dissecting her words. She knew nasal was nose. And appendage was like… a limb. Respiratory is something about breathing? Jenny bit her lip. "… yes..?" Vastra relaxed and smiled. "I know the perfect Silurian remedy for Nasopharyngitis. Come, let me tuck you into bed and I will prepare it and bring it to you.
After a few minutes, Vastra returned to the bedroom with a mug of liquid, handing it to Jenny and watching her eagerly. Jenny sniffed it, looked at Vastra apprehensivly, then sighed taking a sip of the warm liquid. She nearly gagged on it, it was repulsive. She blinked and looked at her mistress, who was watching her expectantly. She looked at the drink in her hand and closed her eyes, forcing herself to drink it all. Attempting a smile at Vastra, she handed the cup back. "yummy.. What was that?" Jenny asked, not entirely sure if she wanted to know. Vastra took the cup from Jennys hand and smiled. "Well, dear, it was an old silurian recipe. A cocktail of pig, bird and dogs blood. Perfect for clearing out the sinuses and preventing further progression of the illness. Jenny froze, swallowing hard and nodding. "T-thanks ma'am." Jenny was trying VERY hard not to throw up.
