The lights flickered on in the empty apartment as a girl with long blonde hair in pigtails came in. she wore a black, school uniform, her violate eyes showing indifference. She kicked off her shoes and went to her room. Everything was silent, even her foot steps. And of course it was, since she lived alone.
Hoshina Utau sat down on her bed, thinking. She had just finished a recording session for Easter. She was tired, angry, and sad all at once. A mixture of emotions. She couldn't help but think about the person responsible for it.
Hoshina Souko. Her mother.
Utau hated how weak her mother was. How she betrayed her and Ikuto. How she married that hateful man when their real father was still out there somewhere.
'It's her fault' Utau thought angrily. She left her home-
No. it stopped being her home when her mother remarried.
She left that place because she couldn't stand it anymore. Even though it meant she wouldn't see Ikuto as much she couldn't stand being under the same roof with Souko and that man. So she decided to stay in Easters apartments.
Because she wouldn't see Ikuto as much Utau was determined to find the Embryo and free him. Free him from Easter, free him from being chained, free him from their fathers sins! She wouldn't give up. She wouldn't lose to anyone, no matter what. She wouldn't let her emotions get in the way, in order to make Ikuto happy. She wouldn't be weak like her mother was!
But even as Utau thought this…her shoulders began to shake…she gripped the end of her black skirt…something wet fell from her face, landing on her hands…
'Why…why did you betray us…mother…'
