A little before 5000 years ago, a young man was brought through the stargate to Abydos from earth by Ra. At the time everyone worshiped Ra. He was their savior. Everyone. Everyone except the young man. He dissapproved of Ra's ways. In fact he hated it. So much he'd rather serve the god Anubis.
So as the man grew older, he became more and more rebellious to the acts of Ra. He became a strong warrior. Not only physically, but also mentally. And at some point everyone believed him to be mortal. As strong as he was, he hoped to become the ruler of Abydos and have everyone serve anubis from there on out.
Later, he ruled a large village called Varyos, far from any other village on Abydos. There he trained warriors to hope one day over throw Ra and Abydos. Everyone else on Abydos was scared to death of this man and his army. They prayed to Ra in hpe that this man may one day find peace on Abydos. Ra was growing tired of this man also so he decided talk with him.
As Ra met with this man, the man made several attempts at killing Ra and failed. ra decided to punish him by putting him into eternal sleep. But this man resisted. He pleaded for his life but Ra would not accept. Before this man was sentenced to die, he asked Ra for a challenge. A challenge against Ra's first prime to the death. This is when Ra started referring to this man as the Scoirpion King.
The Scoirpion King faught well, killing Ra's first prime. Ra was impressed and spared his punishment to 5 millennia of sleep. So Ra put him in a tomb where he would not be awoken for 5000 years, till the year of the scoirpion. Now that nearly 5000 years have passed, it is almost time for him to awake and seek revenge. But since Ra is dead, who will save Abydos from the Scoirpion King?
