Link stood before Ghirahim in the Skyview Temple, prepared for battle.

Ghirahim laughed menacingly, beginning to walk towards Link with his hand outstretched for the Master Sword.

Link braced himself and took a swipe at the demon, only to find that his sword was stuck to his opponent's glove.

"Hey! No fair!" Link whined, struggling to free his sword. Suddenly, Ghirahim surprised the boy by tossing the blade up into the air. Link screeched and falcon punched the demon, sending him flying against the wall. The boy jumped up and grabbed his blade by the handle, just before it came crashing down on him.

He raced over to Ghirahim, who was still on the floor clutching himself, and raised his blade. Wondering why his opponent didn't teleport away from him, Link swung the blade with all his force, aiming for the neck. There was just one thing. The Sky Child missed. He missed. The sword went crashing into the wall, bending back and breaking in half. All at once, screaming was echoed throughout the massive room. The high pitched squeal was Link's. The rest was the broken spirit of Fi. This, of course, attracted Ghirahim's attention.

"NOOOO!" Link screeched picking up the sword. He was sobbing hysterically. "Ghirahim," he sniffed, "I broke my sword." The boy sounded like a toddler who'd broken his toy train.

Ghirahim just stared, emotionless. When Link's crying didn't stop, Ghirahim got up and walked over too him. He raised an eyebrow as he spoke, "Well, I guess you can't save your precious Zelda now, can you?"

Link shook his head, not taking his eyes off of his broken sword. He let out wail, after wail, after wail. This was getting awkward.

"Uhh," Ghirahim muttered, "I have to go now. I can't believe Zelda ever relied on you." And with that, the demon turned to leave.

"I need a hug," Link cried out desperately. Ghirahim froze in his tracks, but didn't say anything, nor did he turn around.

A faint whisper escaped the demon's lips. "What did you say?"

"I said I need a hug!" Link cried, tears streaming down his face. "I'm sad."

Ghirahim rolled his eyes. "I'm not gonna hug you, boy."

Link lunged forward and threw his arms around the demon, sobbing into his shoulder. Ghirahim tensed in surprise as tears soaked his garments. They stood locked like that for a few moments, Link trembling with exhaustion from the crying that was still emitting from him.

Finally, Ghirahim spoke. "There, there," he murmured. He snapped his fingers and a bandage appeared around the sword, mending it together instantly. Fi's spirit glowed within it once again, and it seemed to magically float into Link's sheath. Link seemed to notice, because he pulled away from Ghirahim and turned his head to look at the handle of the sword.

The boy gasped. "B-but... How?!"

Ghirahim sighed. "Nevermind how. Now just fight me already. This time, I won't try to steal your sword. And you won't falcon punch me. Understand?"

Link nodded slowly.

"Now, get to it. Oh, and one more thing. Don't you ever hug me again."
