Amidst the Hate

Minato and Kushina are new parents to twin girls...but they made a mistake down the road, one they would regret for years. Watch their greatest failure happen...and how a talented blind girl that is beyond the norm helps the family recover. Main pairing will be Yuri eventually, rated M for safety (language, blood, the normal). Please, read the revised version instead.

1. Prolouge

Amidst the Hate: Prologue Idea inspired (and some characters) by: The Overlooked Prodigy, author: Rookie14. I do not own Naruto.

Today was a day of great pain and little happiness, not even to new parents. October 10th, the day the Nine Tails attacked Konoha. The second jinchuuriki of the powerful tailed beast, Kushina Uzumaki, was due to give birth that day to twins. One had an odd hair color, stark white, not the blond of her father, Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, or the bright red of her mother, but gained her purple eyes. The other twin had the golden locks and cerulean eyes of her father. How, you may ask, did the Nine Tails attack while still inside its jinchuuriki? During birth, the seal would weaken enough that a new enemy of Konohagakure could use said beast to their advantage. Ripped out of the woman, the demon attacked the village the Fourth held dear, who fought it. Unable to beat the powerful being, he decided to split its chakra and seal it within his two children, giving his life in the process. The jutsu, the Shiki Fujin, would call the Shinigami, who would take the soul of the user, and do the task presented. The Shinigami had his own ideas, not taking the soul of Minato and sealing only one half into the blonde twin, while sealing the other into the young Hokage. Why? "You are one of the few brave enough to summon me, to be so willing to throw away your life for others...I will spare you, if only to see what you will do with this chance." And it was gone. Little did the Hokage know, that through this act of kindness, it would hold so much sadness.

A.N.:Well, that was the prologue! This is my first story, so some ideas are...not original. At all. Even though I put "inspired by", I sadly wrote the first few chapters quite similarly to 'The Overlooked Prodigy', but I did change how one thing happened, which had the whole ripple effect. I also took two names and one character completely from his story, since I suck at making original names or characters, so sorry in advance, and if those things lead me to be, I don't know, banned, than I will take it like a man. Oh, and you saw right, I said wrote. I already wrote this for someone, but I decided to put the story here. All I have to do is figure out how this site works, and get the chapters from Google+.
