Lights Turn Down

Summary: Gingetsu, Ran, and an attempt at atmosphere.
-
At first the world seems impossibly big just like the time he left the cage.
There was too much to take in. There is too much light. There is too much to see. There is too much to feel. There is too much. Then, Gingetsu pushes him down, into the soft mattress, and Ran's world becomes Gingetsu's hands.
Ran closes his eyes.
-
The next morning, Ran wakes up before Gingetsu.
The light is still on.
He is still naked except for his eyes. Ran didn't get much of a chance to look at him last night. He drinks in the sight before him. Even if he had his eyes open, he would have been more focused on what he was feeling; being touched and not being alone. He ponders touching Gingetsu.
It is sudden when Gingetsu grabs his wrist and pulls him forward. He sets his hand - big Ran thinks, even though it is an odd thing to think - on the small of Ran's back. Another hand slides up his back and rests on the back of his neck. Gingetsu pulled him forward into a kiss.
Ran opens his mouth and can't remember if they kissed last night.
-
It's raining heavily.
Ran is resting his chin between his hands looking at the rain. The clouds cover up the sun. It makes it seem like night even though it is the afternoon.
Gingetsu walks up from behind him.
"Do you want some tea?" Ran asks. He does not turn around.
Gingetsu sets his hand on Ran's head and plays with his hair. Ran closes his eyes and leans very slightly into his hand. He's not sure how long they stay like this before Gingetsu speaks.
"If you want to make some."
-
Their fingers brush when Ran hands Gingetsu the cup of tea, steaming, that he made for the older man. It's odd that Ran feels a blush rise to his cheeks.
Even though it is no longer raining he looks out the window and thinks about that it until the sun goes down. It doesn't quite matter to him that he can't figure it out. It's just pleasant thinking about it.
Gingetsu comes up from behind him and touches his hair again.
Ran leans into the tough again.
-
When the moon comes up Gingetsu drags him into his room.
It's possibly odd. They slept together in Ran's room the night before. But Ran doesn't know how this works, so does says nothing.
In fact, the only sounds he makes are tiny gasps as Gingetsu nips on his neck.
It's awkward how Gingetsu's visor scrapes against his chin. It's not a bad awkward, though, so he doesn't mind. Not that he would say anything if it did bother him.
When Ran wraps his legs around Gingetsu's waist, Gingetsu leans over to turn off the lamp on the beside nightstand.
