the fire that shines like a star
The sun shone bright as greystripe,firestar and sandstorm sat in front of the leaders den sharing fresh kill and sorting hunting patrols out. Firestar looked up to see Brambleclaw,Cloudtail and brightheart returned from a hunting patrol. Cloudtail padded over to whitepaw and they padded of into the distance. Sandstorm saw Brambleclaw pad over to them "are you ok" the pale ginger she-cat mewed as firestar and greystripe joined her. Brambleclaw unsheathed his claws and hissed visously Firestar stepped infront of his mate as greystripe stood next to his friend. "speek brambleclaw" firestar meowed lifting a paw up greystripes fur bristled as brambleclaw stepped closer to the ginger tom. "you got scourge to kill me father" brambleclaw hissed. Firestar shoke his head "it was for the best im sorry brambleclaw" he meowed but brambleclaws eyes narrowed in anger and fright. Firestar unsheathed his claws in case. "no you hated my father" he meowed with hate in his voice. Greystripe shook his head "brambleclaw go get some fresh kill and calm down" greystripe meowed calmly. Brambleclaw ignored the deputy and turned to firestar who was sat there looking at the tabby "you i have had enough of you and now i will kill you" brambleclaw yowled pouncing on firestar. This point Hawkfrost ran through the camp and watched firestar and brambleclaw fight he looked at greystripe and sandstorm. "i need you to go get more cats now" greystripe hissed into sandstorms ear she nodded and ran of Hawkfrost ran after her but was stopped by greystripe who bite down into his neck not letting go.
"HELP HELP" sandstorm crashed into the warriors den she saw the cats staring at her like she was a newcommer at starclan. "brambleclaw and hawkfrost are attacking we need to get help" she yowled she ran out as she saw some of brokenstars followers. Dustpelt, Cloudtail, Brightheart,ferncloud and a few more warriors ran into the attack then the apprentices did the same. Sandstorm ran at a tabby she-cat as the clan fought for there lives.
Brambleclaw was thrown at the leaders den but brambleclaw ran at the ginger tom slashing hid claws as his neck missing him by a whisker. Then Firestar ran onto highrock as brambleclaw ran after him firestar quickly jumped of knowing he will lose a life. The force of the ground hit firestar like a monster hitting the tinyest kit. Greystripe sent Hawkfrost fleeing with the other cats. The grey warrior turned around and saw his leader jumping of the highrock and brambleclaw crashed into the rocks. Greystripe stared in shock as his leaders body hit the ground like a twig "FIRESTAR" he yowled as he laid not moving. Sandstorm sent some warriors to chase the fleeing cats of the territory as she and Cloudtail sped past cinderpelt. Cloudtail stopped dead as he saw greystripe looking over his leaders body and in the distance brambleclaws body both covered in blood "oh starclan NO" sandstorm ran past the white warrior an over to her mate. Cloudtail couldn't move he just stared at firestar and brambleclaws body. He finally made his was over to his leader.
Sandstorm and Greystripe carried firestar down the warriors as they bowed there heads respectfully as the two warriors layed firestar down and the elders buried him. At moonhigh Greystripe,Sandstorm,Cloudtail, Ravenpaw, and dustpelt sat there when greystripe told the other cats to get some sleep. Greystripe spoke first as a star appeared in the sky. "firestar you where bold brave you never gave up thank you for being a good friend and leader". Greystripe mewed as sandstorm nodded her head "my leader my mate my friend" Sandstorm took a deep breath as Dustpelt placed his tail on her shoulder "i love you if your in starclan or here i miss you " she bowed her head and dustpelt looked at the brightest star shinning "Firestar yeah we had dissagreements but i never wanted it to end like this i thank you for what you did for my brother and me firestar i miss you" the brown warrior turned to his brother ravenpaw who looked at his leaders flame coloured body "firestar tonight you are the brightest star tonight and in my eyes you are the fire in my heart you never went out " Ravenpaw closed his eyes not finishing his speech as he curled up near his leaders body as dustpelt put his paw on his brother and confronted him gently Cloudtail spoke anyway "Firestar you showed me that starclan where true you told me about my mother you are the best leader a cat can have" he closed his eyes "i dont know what to tell princess goodbye my uncle,my mentor,my friend,my leader sleep well in starclan" cloudtail yowled as he placed a tail on ravenpaw who was still curled up next to his leader "and one da we will meet again" Cloudtail whispered as he saw the brightest star turn to fire and has a star placed on it.
