Neji Hyugga walked into an empty grave yard. There was no logical reason he was here, at least none that the fate fanatic could see. Maybe, it was fate?
Well, he saw his female team-mate standing in front of two graves, and she was talking, "Well, Lee is as crazy as always! Just yesterday, he tried to make Neji and I wear spandex jumpsuits. Mine was pink, Neji's silver." She giggled slightly. "To be honest, I think he would look pretty good.
"Anyway, the other day, we were on a mission. I got into some trouble. I wasn't scared though. You know why? I knew Neji was watching me. He does that often. In battle at least. He saved me, Mom."
Here she took a deep breath. "When I was younger, I thought I would never find anyone who could measure up to you, Dad. I didn't think I could love anyone as much as you guys loved each other. I was wrong. I think, maybe hope is a better word, that Neji loves me back in return. He is just shy, or rather, unwilling to admit his feelings. Sometimes I think he's the way he was when we were younger, you know? All cold and stuff. We still spar together, but often, now that we're older, we are separated on missions. I can't stand it! I worry so much about him when he's gone. Please watch over him for me when I can't!"
"I love you Mom and Dad, and I'll be back to visit you soon."
She stood, and left, never noticing Neji Hyugga deep in thought.
After a while, he went and sat down beside the graves. "Hello, I am Neji Hyugga. I am 22 years old, an Anbu, and completely in love with Tenten. I'm so sorry she worries about me. You know, for someone as smart as her, she still can't tell the reason I train us both so hard, is so that she won't have to worry so much. Also, so I don't have to worry about her, but that's not working so well. You too must be very attractive people, because your daughter attracts way to much male attention. She complains I scare away all her dates, but really, none of them are good enough for her. And she's actually right; I am too scared to tell her the truth. But I'm going to ask her to marry me…today. My name is Neji Hyuuga. I am Tenten's training partner, her team-mate, and…..her future husband."
In Heaven, a father looks down on the scene. "I wish he wouldn't like her."
A woman with sparkling brown eyes looks at him, and says "Do you wish for your daughter to not know love?"
"He's not good enough for her. He is too cold."
"My dear, as I remember, you were much the same way when we were that age. And we have a blissfully happy marriage."
He sighs. "Fine, but if he so much as looks at her the wrong way, I'll haunt him for the rest of eternity."
She shakes her head. "Too much of a father. Come one, lets go 'guide' Tenten to where her wedding dress is hidden.
If you didn't get it, the 'guide' is that her parents are giving her celestial help.
