Wow... I am on a roll with these little oneshots!

Thanks to the people who reviewed my other two. I was so happy! I might add an extra chapter to respond to those who were either guest reviewing or have their PM disabled.

Anyway, this time I was trying to think of another story in math class, partially 'cause people seem to like these, mainly because I was incredibly bored. This just popped into my head! Hope you like it!

I also may alter this a little and do a multi-chapter where Arthur and Merlin get lost in a system of caverns. Who knows?

Disclaimer: *walks onto stage and sighs* Nope.

Hopeful audience: Awwwww!

"Question, why did you have to bring me on another hunting trip Arthur? You always complain about me being along anyway."

Merlin was definitely not whining.

Arthur turned and gave his manservant a cheeky smile. "Because I know you hate it. Now shush."

"Yes Sire."

"Really, only you can make that title sound like an insult."

Arthur waited, expecting the usual retort of "prat," "clotpole," or "dollophead."

What he got was a sickening crack, accompanied by a startled yelp and followed by a sound between a crash and a thud.

Arthur was almost scared to turn around.

Almost.

He tried to reassure himself everything was fine. After all, He thought, we're hunting, right? That very well could've been an animal falling in a trap off the path.

But... that yelp sounded so much like Merlin...

That last thought did it. Arthur whipped around.

What he saw made his blood drain out of his face.

There was a giant hole in the middle of the path- a trap, just as expected.

There was also a frightening lack of loyal manservant.

"Merlin!" Arthur called. Maybe that yelp had been a reflex to the ground opening right next to him and he had reflexively jumped behind a tree? No, I would've heard him.

Arthur stumbled over to the hole, but didn't look.

Just as he was leaning over to do so, he heard a voice behind him.

"Hey Arthur, watch out, your caring side is showing."

Arthur jumped and whirled around. Behind him was a- very much alive and well- Merlin, face red from repressing laughter that he finally let loose.

After he was done, he said, "Worried much? I knew you cared." Between gasps.

Arthur was, to say the least, extremely miffed."Are you quite finished?" He asked.

"Yep! And I should probably run now right?"

The prince sighed. "Normally yes, but we should probably set up camp first. It's getting late." He said, gesturing to the rapidly darkening sky.

Merlin shrugged. "Fine by me."

As he and Arthur walked to a nearby clearing, he looked back and smiled. The hole was gone.

Thank God for illusion spells. He thought, amused.

Yeah... In my opinion, not my best work, but I'm pleased with it! :) Hope you guys are too!

Thanks again for the reviews on my other two oneshots and I'll see you around FanFiction!

Oh, should I just combine my Merlin oneshots into a series, or stick with posting separately?

Now to get back to my already started stories...

Happy Halloween!
