Neville wandered around Hogwarts, looking for a great number of his lost possessions.

He was searching behind a statue for his best pair of shoes when something grabbed him from behind and dangled him upside down.

"Help!" he shouted.

"Peeves! Put him down!" shouted a voice.

"Ooh little Loony's in love with Longbottom!" he taunted, but released Neville all the same.

"Thanks," he said gratefully.

"It's no problem. What were you doing behind that statue? It's probably infested with chizpurfles behind there, you could have got bitten," she said kindly.

"I was looking for my shoes. I think somebody's stolen them and hidden them somewhere," he said sadly.

"People like to hide my things too," she said.

"Oh. I'm sorry," said Neville.

"Why are you sorry? I've never understood why people say that. It's not your fault my things are missing - well unless you've hidden them, but I doubt that. You look like a nice boy. Good luck on finding your shoes," she said, and skipped away , leaving Neville confused, but awestruck.
