The title has nothing to do with the story

Why had he done it? He beat Dean so close to death and then fixed him. He saw the change in Cas' eyes, the way they looked into his emerald green eyes. So much pain, confusion, and anger. The anger wasn't at Dean it was at himself because he had almost killed the most important human to him.

Then he left him. He took the angel tablet, told Dean he had to protect it from heaven and from him. He sat on the bus, an odd way of travel for an angel but, he couldn't risk Naomi finding him. He couldn't risk her doing what she had done to him before once again.

He looked out the window and the foliage began to merge together, he no longer was seeing the beauty of the trees but, instead he kept seeing Dean's face. The way he begged him to stop, the way he looked at him. That's all he kept seeing before his eyes and not landscape.

He closed his eyes and focused on a certain human being and in that moment he had gone from the bus to Dean's room in the bunker. Confused for a moment as to where he was until he heard someone enter the room. He turned to see those same emerald eyes staring into his blue ones.

"Dean, I-

"What the hell, Cas?"

"I can explain."

"Can you? What was that back there, huh? You were like a mindless angel droid."

"I don't understand what that means."

"It means you weren't acting as you, Cas."

"Naomi"

"Naomi?"

"Yes, from my understanding she's running Heaven for now. She...she did something to me. To control me to do things for her."

"Okay, okay. Pyscho angel bitch had you do things for her but, how did you break the connection?"

Castiel hesitated to answer the question. Dean had asked that once before and he had said 'I don't know' when in reality he did. He knew why the connection had broken, it was his strong feelings for Dean.

"You, Dean. It was because of my...feelings towards you."

"What?"

"The bond you and I share was stronger than the hold Naomi had over me. You were the reason the connection broke."

Dean walked up to Castiel slowly, his eyes trained on Cas', never leaving them until he got close enough. He just stared at him for a bit but, Cas knew what words were about to come out of Dean's mouth.

"You stupid son of a bitch angel."

The next thing Dean did confused Cas a bit as he felt Dean slip his hand into his, their finger's entwining, being perfect fits for each other. He looked down then back at Dean. Now his emerald eyes were burning into his with ferocity.

"Don't you ever, do that to me again. You hear me?"

Cas simply nodded. Their profound bond was unbreakable.
