Just one of many ficlets I've written and am now posting. This one is about how Emma walks in on her parents just going at it like bunnies. Sorry LOL
It was a long, boring day. Nothing was happening in the town at all. Henry was at school, David was apparently out on a call with the dwarves and Snow had returned to work at the school. As she checked her phone she let out a heavy sigh. It was only 10 am. How in the world could it be only 10 in the morning and nothing was happening.
Deciding that going home for a bit would be okay. As she left the station she decided to give David a call to let him know that she was heading home for a bit. But after he didn't answer she frowned. He always answered when she called mostly he answered with smile in his voice. Happy to have his little girl call him.
She decided to try Snow next, she always picked up too. The same happiness in her voice that David would get. But she didn't pick up either. This caused Emma to frown even more. Neither of her parents ever missed picking up the phone when she called. They loved talking to her too much to do that.
Walking to her car she picked up her pace, something felt off to her. Something most definitely was not right, as she left the station she decided to maybe check out Granny's. As she pulled up she noticed Ruby and Granny outside. But when she asked if they had seen her parents they both responded with 'No' causing her to frown once again.
As she got back in her car she decided to go see the dwarves. Even though she wasn't comfortable around them yet, not because they were dwarves but because everytime she was around them they would address her as Princess Emma. As she parked outside their house she looked out her window to see that the pickaxes were in fact still there. As she got out and knocked on the door she was met with Grumpy.
"Hey, are my parents here?"
Grumpy shrugged a bit "I'm sorry Princess but, we haven't seen them since yesterday. Is everything okay?"
"Uh..." She let out a sigh as she shifted a bit uncomfortably on her feet "I'm not sure. Thanks, Leroy."
As she turned to leave Grumpy cleared his throat causing her to turn to look at him "You know, you can call me Grumpy. Seeing as that's my name."
"Right, sorry. I'll let you know Le-Grumpy." She gave one more smile and got back into her car.
As she drove home she had called her parents each about 15 times with no answer. She drove faster than usual. Panic in her veins causing her heart to pump faster than she's ever felt. As she pulled up to where her, Henry and her parents lived she didn't even bother shutting off the car. She ran inside as fast as possible. Frantically searching the apartment's first floor and not finding anything. The worst thoughts ran through her head as she ran upstairs. She first searched her room then Henry's and then went straight for Snow and David's room and without thinking swung the door open.
"SNOW? DAV-OH MY GOD!" She yelled as she quickly shut the door as quickly she had opened it.
The only thing she could think to do was run out of the apartment as quick as possible and out to her car, ignoring her parents yells to stop and come back so they could talk. She went straight to the Dwarves place. And as Grumpy answered the door he saw the look on her face and sighed.
"Walk in on something you didn't want to see?"
"I'm going to need so much therapy."
"Come on in kid."
And with that Emma spent the first of two weeks avoiding her parents before being able to face them both at the same time. But the image of seeing them in bed together, naked with a sheet over them is not an image one can erase from their minds.
