Hey guys thought id give a story i have had in my head a go. Been on a bit of a break for a while so just getting back into the swing of writing. Hope you enjoy!
Chapter 1
It was a cool autumn evening in Konoha, the date was October 10th and the village was celebrating its annual event that has been occurring every year for the past five years. The Kyuubi Festival was in full swing celebrating the defeat of the strongest of the Bijuu at the hands of the Yondaime Hokage Minato Namikaze.
Now not everyone was enjoying the festival, on the outskirts of the village we find a small five year old boy running through the back alleys of Konoha with a look of terror on his face. He has three whisker marks on each cheek, is covered in dirt and blood is dripping from various cuts on his body, staining the remains of an old pillow case the child used for clothes. This childs name is Naruto Uzumaki, and unknown to him the Jinchuriki of the Kyuubi no Kitsune.
The reason for this child current condition is the group of civilians and Shinobi chasing him with kunai and shuriken flying past his face, arms and legs creating shallow cuts. This is one of the annual fox hunts that happen on the day of the Kyuubi festival.
'Why are they doing this to me, I have never done anything to any of them' thought Naruto as he continues to dodge the projectiles and navigating the winding alleys.
"Get back here demon and accept your punishment" screamed one of the civilians.
"Leave me alone, what have I ever done to you ahhhhhh!" shouted Naruto as two kunai buried themselves in his calves halting any attempt for him to escape now.
Crawling Naruto backed up against a wall trembling looking at the kunai sticking out of his legs, tears running down his face. Fear evident in his eyes as the realisation that this could be his last night on this earth. "We have you now demon, you are going to pay for all the deaths you have caused" sneered a chuunin as he made his way to the front of the crowd.
"B…but I have never killed anyone" stuttered Naruto looking in to the eyes of said chuunin anger and hate dripping from every pore of him and every member of the group.
"Liar" yelled a civilian with pink hair "Because of you we have all lost friends, family, loved ones even our beloved Yondaime it's time there sacrifice was avenged, now any last words DEMON!" she screeched.
"I'm s..s..so..rry" murmured Naruto unable to stay conscious much longer and passed out due to pain and blood loss.
"No use demon, tonight is when you die, Mizuki you and Iruka take this trash out the village and dispose of him. Make sure there is nothing left to find, you two go with them and keep a look out" directed the pink haired woman pointing at another two chuunin.
"Hai councillor Haruno" all four saluted.
"Come everyone lets head back to the festival and celebrate our vengeance, you four get to it" spoke to now identified councillor Haruno.
As the group walked off back to the festivities the four chuunin picked up the now unconscious Naruto and dragged him out the village into the surrounding forest, unaware they were being followed.
About 15minutes later three miles outside of Konoha…..
We meet back up again with the group tasked with getting rid of Naruto as they approach a river, still unaware they are being followed. "Hold up guys, this should be far enough." Instructed a young man with a scar across the bridge of his nose and a pineapple hair style currently carrying Naruto over his shoulder.
As the four chuunin jump down from the trees into a clearing they begin walking towards the river "Hey Iruka what we going to do with the spawn?" Asked a chuunin with a bandana and shoulder length white hair.
"Well Mizuki he is still unconscious so let's just dump him in the river and be done with it" stated the now identified Iruka.
"Fine give him here I'll do it, you two stay alert, keep an eye out for intruders" gestured Mizuki to the other chuunin as he grabbed Naruto off Iruka.
As Mizuki was walking towards the river dragging Naruto by his foot not caring as he scraped his head on the ground suddenly "Halt! Who goes there" shouted chuunin one
"Whoa there, hold up just an old man out for a walk, what's up with the brat?" spoke an old man with red eyes, a very long white beard, and long eyebrows. There are two scars on his head just above his right eye, he is wearing a black haori that is draped over his shoulders and underneath that a white mesh shirt. Attached to his hip is a Katana with a black sheath and purple handle.
'I never even sensed him and I'm sure that chuunin did not see him till he walked into the clearing this could be bad' thought Iruka as he turned to Mizuki and they both nodded knowing they may have to run for it as something was off with this 'Old man'.
"This is official Konoha business state your name and purpose for being here?" shouted Iruka as he tensed for battle.
"Just told you I was going for walk but I see I came across a few good for nothings upto no good. And as for my name well I do not feel like revealing that" stated the old man a serious expression now adorning his face.
"Now what's up with the brat? And be careful how you answer" he said
"We are just getting rid of the trash, now be gone before we make you" commanded chuunin two who had been quiet up till now.
"Trash you say the only trash I see here is you four, now prepare for your end" whispered the old man slowly unsheathing the katana at his waist
As soon as he touched the katana the pressure in the area increased and the chuunin were all struggling to breathe. They could feel the temperature in the air beginning to rise the more of the sword was revealed.
'Shit this pressure is unreal we really need to get out of here, forget the demon' thought Mizuki. Dropping Naruto to the ground he shouts "Iruka lets go" and throws several kunai at the old man. As they approach several tags go off enveloping the area in smoke when it clears all that's left in the clearing are three people. "Damn those bastards. They ditched us" shouted one chuunin.
"Forget them lets finish this old geezer off we can sort them out later" said the other going through handseals.
"This is the end Hitosume: Nadegiri" before the handseals where complete the old man had disappeared and reappeared the other side of the two, slowly sheathing his katana as soon as it clicks fountains of blood shoot from the chests of the two chuunin.
"Good riddance, hmm you can come out now. I sense no hostility from you" stated the man looking into the trees.
Suddenly three blurs shot out and landed in the clearing opposite the old man. All three had purple hair signifying them as a family. The male of the group had short hair that stuck up at the back a round face and cold black eyes and looked to be early thirties he had on a jounin flak jacket, green shirt and black anbu trousers. The oldest female of the group had shoulder length hair with a heart shaped face and warmer green eyes, she wore similar attire to the male. The youngest of the group was a mix of the adults having cold black eyes and heart shaped face with hair reached to her lower back, she had on black anbu trousers, black sleeveless top with purple arm and shin guards, she looked to be around 13years old. Each had a tanto strapped to their backs.
"And who may you three be" asked the old man as he walked over to the still downed Naruto to check on him.
The male stepped forward "Greetings my name is Ono Uzuki, this is my wife Keiko and daughter Yugao. We are of the Uzuki clan. May I ask your name?"
"Hmm Uzuki as in the branch of the Uzumaki clan? Interesting why was you following this group would it perhaps be to do with this young man here? Oh where are my manners my name is Genryusai Yamamoto" revealed the old man from his position next to Naruto.
"As in the Hi no akuma? What are you doing this close to Konoha and yes we was about to intervene when you showed up we are tasked with protecting young Naruto there as part of our oath to the Uzumaki clan" stated Ono "We will be taking Naruto back with us now, so if you would kindly hand him over we will be on our way"
"I'm sorry but I'm not letting you take this child anywhere near your home village, look at what would of become of him if I had not showed up" spoke Yamamoto "He is coming with me, what you do now well that's your call but ill warn you to choose wisely I'm not in the mood to be merciful from what I've seen of your village so far"
'Shit what are we going to do, we would be no match for him, according to the bingo book he is on the same level as the Sandaime, there is no choice' thought Ono.
"Keiko I have no choice but to do this" Ono says looking at his wife. "What are you saying Ono" spoke Keiko worry evident in her voice.
Getting on to one knee Ono spoke "Yamamoto I request you allow me and my family to accompany you in order to help raise young Naruto and atone for our failure to protect him"
The shock was evident on all faces but Yamamoto quickly recovers and observes the family closely 'They all seem determined to follow through with this I think I should give them a chance'
"Ok you can come with me I'm heading taking a detour now to tanzaku gai to get the brat here healed up, I've heard Tsunade is there so let's see if she can help she owes me one anyway. You get your things together from your home and I'll meet you there in two days" commanded Yamamoto
"Hai we'll see you in two days see ya" spoke Ono "Come you two we have work to do" and just like that the Uzuki family headed back to Konoha.
"Right now that's done with, let's get you to an inn brat" spoke to himself as he picked Naruto up off the ground and walked off into the forests.
Meanwhile in Naruto's Mindscape…
"Errrr my head why is it all damp" spoke Naruto as he comes round and observes his surroundings. He is in what appears to be a dark sewer with blue and red lights lining the walls.
"Come this way child and all will be explained" spoke a voice in the distance.
Curiosity getting the better of him Naruto ran towards the sound of the voice until he reach a massive room with a huge cage holding what appears a giant fox with nine tails swishing behind it. "Wow who are you" spoke Naruto.
"Brave little one aren't you, I'm the might Kyuubi no Kitsune strongest off all the bijuu and you little Naruto are my host" boomed the now identified Kyuubi.
"Thought you were killed by the Yondaime, what you mean I'm your host we are in a sewer baka-kitsune" Naruto shouted crossing his arms with a confident smirk on his face.
"Listen brat I cannot be killed your Yondaime merely sealed me away, in side you on the day of your birth. That's why you was constantly shunned and beaten by everyone. We are in a sewer but this is your mind and you can change it if you want" The Kyuubi instructed waving its paw dismissing Naruto's argument.
It is a bit crappy in here let's see what would be better…ah I know thought Naruto scrunching his face in concentration. Seconds later they are both standing in the middle of an open field with mountains in the distance and a forest stretching as far as the eye can see.
"Yep that's much better what you think now Baka-Kitsune?" asked Naruto
"Impressive brat, even better now I'm out the cage, not keen on the collar but small mercy's" commented the Kyuubi
"Now let's get down to business brat, you are too weak at the moment for my liking so we are going to change that, first I'm going to unlock a Kekkei Genkai for you called Jiton which allows you to magnetise metal and control it at will, I'll also unlock you chakra while I'm at it considering you cannot use Jiton without it." Instructed Kyuubi going into lecture mode.
"Cool that's sounds awesome but why are you helping me" asked Naruto.
"I'm responsible for the way you were treated plus I cannot be associated with a weak host because if you die I die so that's not going to happen. Now I'm going to unlock that while you travel with some old geezer. He just saved you and taking you with him so we will not have to go back to that hell hole of a village" spoke the Kyuubi.
"What about Old man Hokage and the Ichiraku's they were always nice to me,they are my precious people no fair" whined Naruto.
"Listen brat, you cannot go back to a village based on three people. None of who can protect you. You need to move on find a new purpose because you will never be accepted in that village find others to protect brat look to the future but not the past" scolded the Kyuubi.
Naruto was looking down tears falling on the fall the thought of leaving his precious people hurt him but he knew the Kyuubi was right, he would never be accepted. He decided there and then to move on make a name for himself. A name that will come back to haunt Konoha.
"Right Kyuubi-sensei when do we start the Kekkei Genkai and chakra thing?" asked Naruto new determination evident in his eyes.
"Straight away brat, now prepare for a world of pain" stated Kyuubi as orange chakra spread from him and cover Naruto head to toe.
Outside the mindscape…
Naruto is currently lying on a bed in an inn on the outskirts tanzaku gai. When all of a sudden his body is surrounded in orange chakra. Yamamoto who is sitting reading a book in the corner of the room looks up. "Hmmm so he is a Jinchuriki and if the Uzuki's are saying he is an Uzumaki and from Konoha must be the Kyuubi" he said speaking to himself.
I hope Tsunade gets here soon, I ran into Shizune and Laki couple of hours ago told them to bring her here. Oh well time will tell thought Yamamoto.
Across town in a bar we find a busty blonde leaning up the bar downing a bottle of sake. God damn it empty already "Another bottle here barkeep" called the blonde.
"Mom don't you think that's enough for today?" asked a young girl around the age of nine with blonde hair tied in a ponytail reaching to her back with two bangs framing her face. Her outfit consists of light-coloured coat reaching down below her waist, with dark cuffs retaining the original colour on their back edges, a dark cravat tie around the collar, tight-fitting dark pants tucked inside light-coloured boots with dark soles, and light coloured gloves.
"Laki I'm just having one little drink stop being a buzz kill where is Shizune?" asked the older blonde.
"Right here mom, Laki is right you need to slow down plus we have a request for you" joined in a teenage girl of average height and slender build with black eyes and hair. Her hair is straight and shoulder-length with bangs that cover her ears and frame her face. She is wearing a long bluish-black kimono with white trimmings, held closed by a white obi, and open-toed sandals with low heels.
"Tell them no, not in the mood for requests want to drink" now known Tsunade states with a slight pink hue to her cheeks.
"Mom" whined Laki. "Hold up Laki, I'll deal with this, Mom it's Yamamoto who is requesting your aid" cut across Shizune with a stern expression on her face.
Damn that old geezer best go see what he wants and get this out the way thought Tsunade.
"God damn it come on then lead the way, let's get this done. Lead the way" commanded Tsunade.
As the group walked through the town, many people kept looking there way. It's not every day you get to see one of the legendary Sannin of Konoha and her daughters. As the trio reached the inn where our hero resides Tsunade asks "So what's the deal with old man Yama asking me here?"
"He said he has found an individual of interest not only to himself but you as well. Plus he needs you to heal him or something like that" answered Shizune.
As they walked through the inn they came to room 1208 "Aha here we are this is the room" 'knock knock' stated Shizune.
"Come in its open" a voice on the other side instructed.
As they opened the door they came upon the site of Yamamoto reading in the corner and a half naked Naruto on the bed, not a scratch now upon him.
"Ahhh Tsunade thanks for coming but as you can see young Uzumaki here is fully healed but if you could check him over that would be appreciated" spoke Yamamoto with a small smile.
"What's the deal old man Yama, my daughters said this brat would be of interest to me? And did you say Uzumaki?" requested Tsunade with her hands on her hips a fierce look on her face.
"Settle down, just check him over and all will be revealed" motioned Yamamoto.
"Fine Shosen Jutsu" spoke Tsunade and her hands glowed green as she scanned Naruto's body checking for any abnormalities. As she was doing this she managed to get closer look at his face and she gasped 'He is a mini version of Minato with that hair and complexion but his face it's like Kushina' thought Tsunade as tears welled up at the corner of her eyes remembering her surrogate daughter. Now she knew why Yamamoto had called her here this was her godchild. The child her Sensei had told her dies along with his parents.
Sadness was replaced with anger at the thought of her Sensei lying to her. She decided there and then that she would cut all ties with that village which has caused her nothing but pain, she vowed that she would protect her godson and watch out for him like she promised Kushina she would.
"I see you realised who he is, much faster than myself I only worked out through his last name, and by the information our next arrivals gave me. You can come in now, no need to stand out there" Yamamoto called towards the door.
As these conversations was going on Naruto started to come around, slowly opening his eyes 'Oh man where am I? Hey Kyuubi you there? Thought Naruto taking in his surroundings noticing the four adults three younger girls all slightly older than him.
'Looks like you have an audience brat, that old man over there is the one who saved you after you passed out. The others I'm not sure about but I do not sense any ill will towards you. Heads up brat they've noticed you are awake' Informed Kyuubi.
"Rise and shine sleepy head, you been out of it for two days now, how you feeling?" asked Yamamoto.
"Fine old man just got a splitting headache. Who are you guys? And where are we? Asked Naruto looking around the room.
"Well I'm Genryusai Yamamoto, pleasure to meet you, these are some of my acquaintances. This is Ono Uzuki and his wife and daughter Keiko and Yugao" motioned Yamamoto pointing to each one as he said there name.
"This is Tsunade Senju and her daughters Shizune and Laki" once again pointing them out when he landed on Laki, our hero developed a light blush on his cheeks She's cute he thought.
"Hi, but where are we? And what the hell happened old man? Why are you all here?" questioned Naruto.
"Well to keep things short brat, I saved you from certain death, then brought you here to tanzaku gai to rest and be healed" spoke Yamamoto.
Ono Uzuki stepped forward and knelt on one knee "Me and my family are here to serve you Lord Uzumaki as we served your family before you. I humbly ask your forgiveness in not being able to protect you whilst you was younger we was blocked at every turn by the village council and the Anbu. Its why you was constantly beaten. Please forgive us my lord"
"Hahaha enough of the Lord stuff, just Naruto is fine, do not worry about it, it's nice to know that at least someone was trying to look out for me" replied Naruto little put out by the formal manner.
"Thank you L.. Naruto" spoke Ono with a small smile on his face and returned to his family.
"Guess we are last brat I'm your Godmother I also want to apologise to you because I could have been there for you, cannot imagine pain you went through. Just want you to know that my dick of a Sensei lied to me told me you died on the day of your birth along with your mother who I saw as a daughter. I left the village shortly after not been back since and I never will. If you will have me I'd like to try and make it upto you. I have got five years to make up for after all" smiled Tsunade with hope in her eyes.
"It's not your fault Granny, I can understand your feelings to an extent let's just see how it goes" smiled Naruto.
"Great now that's all out the way, care to explain Naruto why you was glowing orange earlier and your miraculous recovery from pretty serious wounds?" questioned Yamamoto.
"Well I'm guessing you know about the Kyuubi?" the group nodded "As well as the fact it attacked Konoha five years ago, well it was sealed inside me and that glow was the Kyuubi unlocking my chakra and Kekkei something. He said it allows me to control metal. Don't really understand it to be honest" rambled Naruto.
The adults was shocked not only had he spoke to the Kyuubi but he also had a rare Kekkei Genkai. The younger of the generation was a bit confused just like Naruto on the whole matter.
"What was the name of this gift the Kyuubi unlocked for you Naruto?" asked Tsunade curious.
"Said was Jitan or Jito err" "Was it Jiton Naruto?" cut across Tsunade. "Ye that's it lets me control metals he said, sounds cool eh?" replied Naruto excited.
"That settles it Naruto I officially take you as my apprentice, I will teach you everything I know of the Shinobi arts. Get some rest as we leave in the morning I have business to attend to in Fang country." Declared Yamamoto.
"Looks like we going to girls lets go pack for the trip" spoke Tsunade "Meet at the north gate Old man Yama?"
"If you insist Tsunade" smiled Yamamoto.
"Sounds like a plan, see you in the morning people come on girls" gestured Tsunade walking out the door.
"Bye guys" spoke Shizune walking out the door. "Laki you coming?" "Oh ye sorry bye" squeaked Laki blushing a deep crimson. It did not go unnoticed how she was staring at young Naruto. Blackmail material in the bag thought Shizune waving bye again.
"We shall remain here with you Naruto as we are all ready to go" smiled Keiko
"Nice to meet you Naruto I'm Yugao hope we can become good friends on this trip" greeted Yugao as she approached him a smile on her face.
Naruto looked dumbfounded not only had he just been apprenticed but had got a whole group being friendly to him and a girl his age wanting to be friends. To say he was confused would be an understatement.
"Errr guys do I get a say in this" Asked Naruto.
"NO!" was the reply.
Oh god what have I got myself into thought a depressed Naruto
Oh I'm going to enjoy watching this brat replied the Kyuubi
Shut baka-kitsune yelled Naruto in his mind.
