Hello friends! Adri is back from the dead and here with you with a Markiplier fanfiction! This was originally supposed to have Googleplier, but I'll write a different story about him later xD For now however! Enjoy~

"For the people picking Darkiplier as their favorite character of mine...I don't know who Darkiplier is. He is not a 'character' I play. I don't even know when you all started calling him by that name.

You made him real.

And now he knows who you are.

Why did you do this...?"

—Markiplier's blog post regarding Darkiplier

It was late at night, and everyone around was asleep. That is, everyone except one person. Dark remained alert and awake at the computer. He typed away at the keys, working on something he has spent days on while Mark slept, and if someone were to see the screen, they would just see random numbers and letters and not give a second thought about it, but Dark knew what he was doing, and just the thought alone made him chuckle lowly.

As he typed, a little box popped up with a message.

"Are you almost done…? I'm getting bored."

Dark stopped typing as he looked at the message. He quickly replied to it. "Yeah. Almost done. Just a few more commands to put in, and you'll be finished."

"Really? That's great! I can't wait to be finished!"

"I should be done soon. Just sit tight."

"Awesome! I'll be waiting!" After he read the message, the box closed on its own.

"This is perfect," he said simply with a smirk, his red irises concentrating on the screen as he typed away. "Once I make this, I'll—" A sudden creek made him freeze. He cut himself off from speaking, and his fingers just barely hovered over the black keys.

"Darkiplier? What are you doing...?" a low, tired voice asked. A yawn was heard the voice continued, "It's late. Why are you still up...?"

Dark remained in his frozen state before turning towards the man in the doorway. The two looked very similar, but Dark's skin appeared paler, and he had red irises and black where the whites should be. The other man had normal eyes that had chocolate brown irises.

"What do you want, Mark?" Dark asked bluntly.

"N-Nothing," Mark answered quickly It's just that...You've been at the computer since...well...ever since I got off. You've been doing that for days now. Almost two weeks. What's so important that you have to—"

"What I do is none of your concern," Dark said simply. "Besides, why do you care?"

That silenced Mark. Dark had a point, and they both knew it. Mark scratched the back of his head and looked away.

"J-Just don't stay up too late," was all Mark said before walking away.

Now, time for some explanation. Markiplier, aka Mark, is a famous YouTuber, popular for making gaming videos, and as he made videos, sometimes, he'd take on a new…"attitude" or "character" so to speak. For example, when wearing a pink mustache, he would become Wilfred Warfstache. If it was Christmas, Santaplier would appear in videos. You get the idea, but Darkiplier is somewhat different. He is his own form. Darkiplier came to be after his first appearance in a video called Raspy Hill. The fans have since then caught on to this, and some say because of them, Darkiplier somehow became his own being.

And now that he was his own form, he could do so much more than be stuck inside Mark's mind.

It took only about three more minutes before he was finally done. He clicked "Save As" and a box to name the file appeared.

"What to officially name it…?" He tapped his chin in thought. The current save name was Project 53. It was a vague name, and he figured no one would touch the file if he named it like that. When an idea finally came to mind, he smirked to himself and typed the name out.

After he saved it, he went to the newly created file, clicked open, and stood away from the computer.

The computer screen went black before small blue currents of electricity sputtered from it. The screen lit up a bright, blinding white light before dimming down into darkness. Dark returned to the chair and watched the screen, as if waiting for something else to happen. It was just a couple of seconds before a man appeared on the screen. He looked very similar to Mark, except is body seemed to glitch occasionally, and he had one red eye and one blue eye. He looked over at Dark and smiled brightly.

"You did it!" he exclaimed. His voice seemed robotic and glitchy, but it still held a human sound. "You finished me!"

"You are now a complete program," Dark said to him. "Now, Glitchiplier, I assume you know what to do right?"

"Yep! Just give me a few minutes! I should be done in no time!" Glitch "jumped" through the blackness of the screen, and as the screen rippled, the original background of the computer dissolved into view. Dark simply crossed his arms and sat back with a smirk. He knew his plan would work.

The next morning, Mark sat at his computer, dumbfounded at what he saw_er didn't see. He saw all his games gone. Everything he's ever bought or downloaded for free: gone. Five Nights at Freddy's one and two, I Am Bread, Error 53, his Gmod packs…Everything was all gone.

"What the hell...? How did this happen?!" He kept scanning through, thinking he might have moved all his games to another folder, but to his dismay, they were really all gone. "No..." he groaned. "No..." His phone snapped him out of his upsetting state, and he looked at the screen. It was a message from his good friend Aaron-aka Yamimash, another famous YouTuber.

"Dude, what's going on with your YouTube channel?!" the message read.

Mark was confused, and he simply decided to call him. "What do you mean?" he asked as Aaron picked up the phone. "I haven't uploaded anything yet!"

"Mark, all your videos are gone except for one," Aaron quickly explained with a nervous, British tone. "I think you were hacked!"

Mark held the phone between his shoulder and ear as he went onto his YouTube channel. To his horror, Aaron was right. All of his videos were gone except for one, and the thumbnail of it was simple a black screen with no title to it.

"Oh my god..." he breathed. "No way...No!"

"Mark...I'm sorry, man..." Aaron sighed into the receiver. "I'm so sorry..."

Mark didn't say a word as he clicked the short video. As he waited for it to load, he darted towards the comments.

He's been hacked!

who would do this 2 mark?

This is horrible!

this cant happen. hes probably trickin us!

As his eyes scanned the worried comments, the video started up, and he scrolled up to the top. The first five seconds were just frames of blackness, and around the fifth second, a black and white image of Mark waving and smiling appeared, but the image glitched, a few "glitchy" sounds accompanying the picture. Upon further inspection, Mark saw that the image of himself had one red eye and one blue eye. A text appeared on the top about three seconds later.

"Hi!" it read before changing to something new with a small zip! sound every three to four seconds. "Sorry about this." Zip! "Not really." Zip! "But anyway! Enjoy this surprise!" The video faded away to black. Mark was shaking, out of anger or fear he didn't know. His phone slipped from his from his shoulder, and he covered his mouth with his trembling hands.

"E-Everything's gone..." he sighed shakily. "I-It's gone."

"Mark...? Mark!" Aaron was shouting through the dropped phone, but Mark was in too much shock to pick up the phone.

Mark hadn't realized the video was still going until another image appeared on the screen. It was of him again, but with black and red eyes. He was doing his signature creepy smile, and when the white text appeared on the top of the screen, he felt his blood run cold.

Sorry pal, but you've been hacked.

At the bottom was just one familiar word.
