It couldn't be avoided that one day he would have to leave the house, the days he had taken off work had slowly helped ease his pain, and as he left the door it was almost as if nothing had in fact happened, as if he could get on with his day and nothing would go wrong. But he looked at that house, the door he knew so well now from the amount of times he'd approached it, gone over after work and sat around simply petting his cats, talking about things that they both found fascinating. That one day where Sasori broke down right in front of him and he swore that he'd help the read head through anything that came his way.
Just seeing the house brought back so much to him, but he held back the tears, turning away to wander to his car. But he could almost hear the handle turning, freezing on the spot as he heard the door of his neighbours house opening, not daring to turn around, not wanting to see his face this soon after what had happened. And yet at the same time he did, he wouldn't stop loving Sasori, not for a long time, slowly turning his head to look over the man his heart longed to be back with. For a moment though Sasori didn't seem to see him, giving Deidara a chance to just look over him until their eyes connected, forcing him to turn away again, fingers hurriedly hunting for his keys in the pockets of his pants, perhaps too frantically, especially as he heard his own name called out to him.
A clatter sounded from the floor, keys hitting it, only another pair on hands went to collect them for him, eyes not daring to look up being this close to him and he took the keys without a word until he heard his name again.
Finally looking to him he could see the slight hint of concern washing through Sasori's eyes, the questioning stare that asked him if he was alright, and once again he had started to cry on the spot. Only this time there was no Dei in the house waiting for him, no one there that he could curl up to and cry to that day, and that hurt him even more. Thumb gliding over his face, wiping those tears away he could hear the whisper of an apology, but that wasn't what he wanted to hear. He wanted to hear three simple words, three words that could possibly fix everything, three words that would tell him that there was another chance.
Boldly Deidara's lips latched onto the others, hands cupping his face searching desperately for a part of Sasori that still wanted to be there with him, that still wanted to hold onto everything that he had. And yet breaking away there had been no return of the affection, no sign that there would be anything between them ever again, tear filled eyes looking at Sasori he blubbered those three words again loud. Searching for a return in the feelings still before he screamed the words in his face.
With the emotion raging through him, the tears now freely spilling down his cheeks, body shaking on the spot he found it hard to keep him head straight, crumpling down to the floor in a heap where he would sob again.
Arms helped him from the floor at that point though, helping him back inside his home, Sasori ensuring that he would be safe, even making the call to say that he was unable to work once again. But the pager at his side rang, and Deidara knew he had to leave, he had a duty, he had a job, and as the door closed he was thrown once again into silence, touching over his lips reminding himself that he and Sasori had shared the last kiss they would ever have.
