The title has nothing to do with the story

It had been a while since Cas was around. It's not like Dean hadn't been calling for him, praying for him and was still getting no answer. He had been worried about him since he got back from Purgatory and yet he knew something was wrong. He wasn't sure what had happened but something did. But there was something else on his mind that he knew he should address. And he was pretty sure that Sam already knew and just wasn't saying anything about it.

It must have been about 1 in the morning when he heard a familiar sound of wings suddenly in his room. His room. He liked the sound of that. He grabbed his knife as he jolted up but relaxed once he saw it was just Cas standing there in the corner. In his usual attire, trench coat and suit. The same thing Jimmy Novak was wearing the day he took his body on as a vessel.

"Damn it, Cas. What the hell?"

"I'm sorry to have awoken you."

"Yeah, well no harm done." Dean said as he moved to the side of the bed. His legs hanging over and his feet touching the ground as he rubbed his face "What can I help you with?"

Cas just stood there, a moment of shock and fear flashed across his face before he moved forward and sat down next to Dean. Catching the glance of curiosity and confusion that flashed across Dean's face as he looked over at him. Cas just sat there, nervous, hands on his knees and trying to avoid eye contact

"I wish to sleep in the bed."

"Come again?"

"I wish to sleep in the bed, Dean."

"What? My bed?"

"Yes."

Dean just looked at him for a bit, noticing that Cas never met his gaze and only looked straight ahead. He wasn't sure the right way to go about this. In his experience he had seen humans share a bed but sometimes, what he has learned from the pizza man, was that they did more than just sleep in them.

"Cas?"

And this time he finally looked over at Dean. The man he gripped tight and raised from perdition. The man he had sacrificed so much for over the years. The man he had become so close to and the man he tried to keep safe in Purgatory by staying away from him. It wasn't until now that he looked in Dean's emerald eyes and realized why he did all that. It was because he was in love with him.

"Dean. I wish to sleep in your bed with you."

Dean looked at him for a bit, trying very hard to figure out why Cas felt the sudden need to share a bed with him. An angel he has known for 4 years of his life and has gone through so much with him. Cas had sacrificed so much for him to live and it wasn't until that very moment that he realized what all of that meant for him. The man that he was in love with had done so much for him. And he was now admitting to himself how he truly felt about Cas. So he gave him a smile.

"Alright, come on. No shoes, no coat, no pants, no shirt. It'll make it easier for you to sleep."

So once Cas had shed the necessary clothing items to go to sleep he walked over to the side of the bed and climbed in. Dean was already laying down on his back as he looked over at him, turning onto his side and wrapping an arm around Dean's waist and resting his head on Dean's chest he slowly closed his eyes.

"Goodnight, Dean."

Dean smiled to himself when he felt Cas wrap an arm around him and couldn't help but place an arm around his shoulders. And when he heard the angel wish him a good night he couldn't help but smile even more as he closed his eyes as well.

"Goodnight, Cas."

It didn't take long for either to fall into a deep sleep. Neither of them hearing Dean's door open and noticing Sam poke his head in. A smile formed on his face as he closed the door to his big brother's room after seeing Dean and Cas sleeping in the same bed.

"Finally."
