A/N: All characters and places below to the wonderful J.K. Rowling. I apologize greatly for my neglect on Necessity. Writers block is a terrible terrible thing. But I promise to update as soon as I can. I kind of wrote this really quickly and I'm not sure if it makes as much sense as it did in my head. But I saw a gifset and this happened. Safe With You

"Harry, Malfoy keeps staring at you."

Harry raised his brow but kept his eyes locked on the potions book in front of him. He'd heard this same observation many times since the beginning of the year. He thought that if he kept making excuses and jokes that maybe she would forget about it. But this was Hermione. She didn't let anything go until she got an explanation.

Ron snickered from beside him. "Maybe he's planning some more evil things. I mean, look at him."

It was the same thing that Ron had said the day before. Yet this time Harry did look and what he saw made his stomach flip.

There was Draco Malfoy sitting quietly amidst the noise of the Great Hall, his cheek rested against the palm of his hand. His eyes were glassy and heavy-lidded staring directly at the Gryffindor. Draco shook himself free from his trance and ducked his head to hide the light blush creeping up his neck. Harry tried to hide his smile.

"Is there something you're keeping from us?"

Harry glanced at his friends. "No. Not at all," He said closing his book. From the corner of his eye he saw the last strands of blond hair slipping through the doors. "I'll meet you guys in the common room a bit later."

Without another word, Harry ran from the room leaving the rest of the Great Hall looking after him in question. Harry knew exactly where he needed to go. He rushed out the main doors, down the dirt path toward the lake and stopped at the start of the wooden dock.

"Thought I'd find you here." Draco jumped up, almost falling off the edge of the dock, and stared dumbly at the boy in front of him. "Are you just going to stand there?"

Draco coughed and rubbed the back of his neck. "I- erm. I guess not." Draco slowly walked forward until he was standing directly in front of the other boy.

Harry opened his arms wide and cocked his head when Draco didn't budge. "You waiting for a written invitation? Come on. You know I don't bite hard."

Draco smirked and rushed forward wrapping his arms around Harry's waist and pulling him close. The brunette's head rested comfortably in the crook of the taller's neck. Draco let out a small sigh.

"I missed this." The blond mumbled.

Harry smiled and placed a light kiss to the pale shoulder before pulling back and looking deep into the other's eyes. "I did too."

Draco pulled away and took Harry's hand leading him to the edge of the dock. The two pulled off their shoes and socks and let their feet graze over the water occasionally finding one another.

It wasn't long until Harry fell asleep with his head on Draco's shoulder and a hand on his chest. And Draco didn't dare move or disturb the peacefulness of the situation because he didn't know if this was ever going to happen again.
