My first fanfic , and it's a short one-shot fic . . Please review !! ^^
Saigo no Uta : Song of Kindness
It was sunset in the peaceful city of Amatsu . A young female acolyte , sitting under the beautiful sakura trees , is busying herself folding paper cranes .
No matter what the time
We'll always be together
No matter what the time
Because you're by my side
The light known as "you" finds me,
In the middle of the night
" Nunnally ? " a voice spoke . The female acolyte looked up, and smiled
Thinking too much about the future.
Stopping things that have no meaning.
Today I'll eat delicious things.
The future is always before us,
Even I don't know it.
The wind gently blew , while petals of the sakura tree fell delicately around them .
" It's nice meeting you again , Shannon " Nunnally said , smiling to the astonished wizard. " Come, sit beside me ! " she added , motioning the wizard to sit .
" Nunnally , you're- " the wizard spoke , but something stopped him from speaking .
" Look Shannon , " Nunnally said , lifting a paper crane with her two hands . " I've made my thousandth paper crane ! Now I can make a wish ! " she said , cradling the paper crane near her chest .
Let's talk more,
And about the tomorrow that's before your very eyes.
Turn off the television,
And look only at me.
" That's nice . " the wizard said , sitting beside the acolyte . " So . . you've finished it finally , Nunnally . What's your wish ? " he asked , in a tone that has a hint of loneliness in it.
" What's your wish , Shannon ? " she returned the question . The wizard looked at her with questioning eyes . " I made these paper cranes for you Shannon , so make your wish ! " the acolyte said , beaming
The wizard stared at the acolyte for a while , then smiled bleakly . " I don't deserve it , Nunnally . " He then stared at the dark sky , already gleaming with the light of the stars .
" My only wish is something I can't have . . . " he added , returning his gaze on the paper crane the acolyte showed earlier .
" Nonsense , Shannon! Even if wishes don't come true , don't you think it's still worth to try? " the acolyte replied , her eyes gazing on the wizard's face .
" Tell me your wish , Shannon . . ."
No matter how well we're doing,
I don't believe in us completely.
But at those sort of times,
Because you're by my side,
The light known as "you" finds me,
In the middle of the night.
" My wish . ." the wizard spoke , his voice trailing off . He stood up , and gazed at the night sky.
" My only wish is . . to be with you , Nunnally . ."
And under the same sakura tree , was a lei of a thousand paper cranes , placed on top of a stone that bears a name .
And the name that was written is . . . Nunnally
Okay , I know it was fluffy and stuff [ that's what you get for listening to anime songs in music box arrangements ] so please go easy on me . Reviews and flames are all welcome ~
