I was bored and this was the only thing I could write to occupy my mind...Using one of my old ocs..It's based off the song 'Bad boy' by Cascada.

disclaimer: I do not own Prince of Tennis, I own Kaylene Itonami though, and her sister Kaen

Kaylene stood alone, looking at him from across the room, her face calm and collected, hiding the sheer joy hiding inside. The new boy, Kaidoh Kaoru, was the first boy she'd ever had a crush on. And here she was just standing here, staring like a moron, while he was ambushed by other girls.

"Don't bother," her sister Kaen muttered from the table nearby. Kaylene sighed and sat down next to her.

"First guy ever, and every girl in the class is trying to get him," she whispered. Kaen gave her a small smile and patted her back. "Just be his friend, the teacher did say you were supposed to show him around." Kaylene nodded.

"Alright, just friends sounds good," she said and smiled slightly as Kaidoh aproached her seat.

"Are you Kaylene?" he asked shyly. Kaylene blushed slightly at his shyness, and nodded. He pulled out the seat in front of her slightly. "May I sit here?" she just nodded, keeping as composed as she could. That was the first time she'd never said anything to a guy.

Over time, they became friends. They joked, and Kaidoh would sometimes tease her, saying how girls couldn't be that strong, before she flipped him onto a gym mat.

He never underestimated girls after that.

The next day, they sat in the park on a bench, snacking on some icecream, when Kaidoh turned to her. "Kaylene?" he asked.

"Hmm?" she looked up from her rasberry icecream. He chuckled and wiped some icecream from her cheek with a napkin. She blushed and shivered slightly.

"Can I tell you something?" he said nervously. Kaylene nodded.

"Of course Kaoru, you can trust me," she replied with a smile. Kaidoh took a deep breath.

"I have a girlfriend," he said calmly. He turned to see her reaction, but only saw the mask he'd seen when he'd first met her. "Kaylene?" The burnette got up and walked away, holding back tears. When he got up to go after her, she sprinted into a run.

He didn't see her for the next month. Every day for the first week of school, he hoped to see her walk into the classroom. No such luck. His girlfriend broke up with him that weekend.

Roughly two weeks later, he was at a tennis match at Yamabuki Middle. He'd heard they were good, courtesy of their 'secret weapon'. As he stepped on the courts for his last match against this weapon of theirs, he heard gasps from the Seigaku team and the crowd. He looked up to see Kaylene, in a yamabuki uniform, standing ready for the match.

When they met each other's gaze, Kaylene dropped the tennis ball she was bouncing and Kaidoh dropped his racket. Kaidoh walked across the court until he stood in front of her. "Kaylene..."

She shook her head and threw her arms around him, tears streaming down her face. "I'm sorry," she whispered. Kaidoh hugged her back and rested his forehead against hers.

"I am too."
