Would You Never?
Would you never break your word? Never turn your back to the commitment you made? I might.
I don't know when things went so wrong, but only that things are no longer right.
I know I'm no longer the only in his heart, but the truth is, I never gave him all that he deserved, as my heart yearned for another. I only wish I had not made another suffer for my distracted feelings.
I never see my forbidden attraction looking at anyone else, but how can I be what he expects when I don't know if my feelings are returned.
I changed but haven't had the courage to step up and meet him part way.
I find there's no room for another in my heart. My desire for him is no longer in the back of my mind and I'll be damned if I settle for second best again.
I've made my decision and I will fight to not have to face my regrets again.
