It was a normal day in Peaceville. Corey was tuning his guitar. Kin and Kon were trying new cheeses. Laney was walking to Starbucks to get her usual Double Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino. Laney was sad, though. She missed her old friend and crush since fifth grade, Ryan Haight. He moved away right when she wanted to tell him she had a crush on him.
She walked in sadly. " Yeah I'll have my usual." she said to an employee. " Ok Laney." the employee Kylie said. " Why so sad?" Kylie asked. " My crush moved away and I never got to tell him my feelings." Laney said. " Well you know, you'll probably see him again. When you get older, you'll get a good job, visit him and you can tell him." Kylie said. " He'll probably have a wife by then. And I'll just be a heartbroken girl." Laney says. Laney was probably right.
A few minutes later Kylie put Laney's frapp on the table " On the house. Always remember miracles can happen. Who knows maybe you'll see him here again?" Kylie said before walking away . Laney TRIED to smile. But she knew that miracles never happen in her life. They only happened in Disney movies.
After that delicious drink Laney stepped out and started to walk back home. She was walking and walking when she stopped. The other person stopped, too. They both turned around. " Laney Penn?" " Ryan…" " What you forget my last name?" he says jokingly, and spreads his arms out wide for a hug. Laney doesn't hesitate and runs into his arms. " I missed you!" she said. " What are you doing here?" " Oh I thought that I'd move back, I missed you, too." Kylie was right. Now was her chance.
Laney and Ryan walked and talked for what seemed like hours. She had to tell him soon. But she didn't want to tell him in words. They were walking and Ryan was talking so much and telling so many jokes, she wanted him to shut up. She finally, kissed him. It was deep and passionate and Ryan liked it, so he kissed her back. " That's my way of telling you that I had a crush on you since fifth, and my way of making you shut up." Laney says and kisses him on the cheek.
1 week later
Laney and Ryan were going out. They were at the park, swing when Laney leaned over and whispered in his ear " I love you, Ry. " Ryan whispered back " I love you, too." They swang and giggled.
