UNDERWORLD Chapter 1- Fallen
A tribute to the new game, Tomb Raider Underworld, I thought I'd bring back another 'Raider' fan fiction! Dedicated to my two best friends, Umesh and Leonni, hope you like it! J
A pillar of moonlight showed the various rocky crops of the mountain. It highlighted the outline of a single person, who stood at the head of a broad cliff, observing the suicidal drop into a large lake below, with a calculating look. She, for it was a woman- her long hair bound in a ponytail defined that- walked away from the drop slowly, reaching the darkness of the mountain, then swung around and raced to the end.
She put her arms out gracefully, arching them into a swan dive, falling with style and beauty to what would have killed any other person.
She dived under the surface of the water, to the bottom of the depths. Miraculously, she was unhurt. She broke into the cold air, hardly even out of breath. She looked way up above her to the cliff, then started to swim strongly to the edge of the freezing pool.
Checking her PDA, grapple and artillery, Lara Croft ventured on alone, a single figure in one of the darkest places on earth.
