Just a little poem I was inspired to write after watching a video from a friend. Here goes . . . . .

Eyes, Sakura no Gaara

Sakura sat alone in her room, feeling the burden of loneliness. The decision to end the relationship with Gaara had been a dangerous move, yet it was the only course she could take. Each encounter with Gaara always ended in bitter words, physical pain and anger. Watching her lover leave the last image which would remain in her heart forever was the look from his piercing eyes . . . .

I look in your eyes; I fear your anger, it burns.

I look in your eyes; I touch your pain, it hurts.

You tell me it is in the past; the anger, the pain, all lies.

Even now your past, your demon, it follows me where ever I go, I cry. . .

We are so far apart, you and I, still, I cry. . .

Will you ever hold me without the pain?

Will you ever touch me, without the anger?

You look in my eyes, I hide my anger,

Haunted by your eyes. . .

Gaara quietly stole away to a private spot in the hidden forest among the leaves Sakura loved so much. 'Love,' he spoke to his demon, the source of all his anger and pain. The word mingled with the sand in his mouth. His thoughts drifted to the girl. . . . .



I hate the look in your eyes, its chills my anger.

I hate the look in your eyes, it fuels my pain.

Haunted by your every move, your scent follows me even now.

You taint, my sand, my being, my black soul.

We could never have been close, I cry. . .

I could never hold you,

I could never touch you,

I am hunted by your eyes.

Eyes, hollow, black, lifeless, eyes. . . .

A/N: I watched a video and all I could see were tears from Sakura for Gaara. At first it was so sad but beautiful. There were endings and beginnings but I felt pain and suffering one gets in a relationship going nowhere. So this is my attempt to express the feelings in their eyes, hope you like it. Thanks to Isamanomiko who encouraged me to post.
