Mac closed the door behind him, tossing his satchel aside. All he wanted was to fall asleep watching 'Guns of Larado'. But there was something in mailbox, and Mac's curiosity could stave off the worst jet-lag imaginable.
Using his pocketknife, he opened the box and found Valentine candy with an invitation to dinner… unsigned.
Which girl sent this? Mac wondered. The list of possibilities was long and rather daunting. He picked up the phone and dialed quickly.
"Pete, got any assignments for me? I need to leave the country for a couple of days… at least until after February 14th!"
