Freddie's POV:

"Hey Freddie" Carly chirped as I stepped into the iCarly studio, "Sam isn't here yet."

"What else is new?" I rolled my eyes. Knowing there wasn't much to do before she came, I plopped myself down in one of the bean bag chairs and started flipping through emails on my lap top.

All of a sudden the door swung open revealing a mess of blonde hair attached to a stumbling Sam

"Oh my gosh Sam! What happened to you?" Carly's voice went up an octive as she rushed to her best friend. She put her hands on Sam's shoulders and bent down, trying to catch her eye.

"Relax Carls," Sam groaned, pushing Carly away, "I'm just tired. I just came from an all night meat baffet." I smiled to myself, classic Sam.

Sam raised her head and turned to me, "You're a dorky, mama's-boy, nub" my eyebrows met in confusion, "you should just go and take a flying leap off the nearest roof-top"

"What did I do?" I asked before she went on

"I don't have enough energy to insult you today, so I had to get it out of the way before I zonk out" She grumbled as she slipped down in the bean bag chair next to mine, "Carls, what've you got for me today?"

"Oh, shoot, I left my idea's for this week's iCarly in my room. Think you two can handle not killing each other while I go find it?" she asked, genuinely concerned.

"No promises," I joked, then looked over to my left, "I think Sam's already dead" I watched her eye lids struggle open, then fall closed again.

Carly giggled, then left. I felt the silence fill the room. It was just me and Sam. A million different things sarted running through my head. So much has changed with us. It seems like forever ago that I was chasing after Carly and hating Sam's interuptions. But then we became friends… and she gave me my first kiss. She's actually a really great friend, she was the one that gave me a reality check with that whole hero-thing with Carly. I really appriciated that. I hope I was that good of a friend to her. Maybe I should tell her that, maybe she needed me to say something… maybe it would make sense for me to-

I turned and found her asleep, her head resting on my shoulder. I smirked, a serene feeling swelling inside me. Her breathing was slow and rhythmic, she was so calm this way. It was a good feeling, being there for her. This moment was perfect, I wasn't struggling for the right thing to say, or protecting myself from her constant jabs, it was just me and her. Freddie and Sam. I picked up her hand and interlocked her fingers with mine. In her sleep she let out a sigh and sunk into my shoulder, a hint of a smile on her face.

Just then I heard footsteps coming closer. I let go of her hand and moved away, letting her head rest on the side of her chair.

"Hey you guys, I'm back!" Carly stepped through the door, oblivious as always.

"*YAWN* ugh, alright, lay it on me" Sam sat up in her chair, also oblivious.

Icarly continued as always, Sam insulted me, Carly defended me, nothing changed. But, in a way, it was always changing. And I would remember that moment forever. Freddie and Sam… it wasn't THAT crazy, was it?
