They didn't know how much had they spent in the woods .. Lisbon huffed in despair after some time , she was sticky with sweat and the insects had no mercy upon her and she wondered how long would it take before she gets infected by unknown disease .. she threw an angry glare at Jane after all if he wasn't so annoying she would have probably focused on the road an wouldn't have had the car slide down the mud in an unknown road inside the woods and hit a tree where nobody would probably find them until their corps melt from the heat .
On the other way Jane was enjoying the walk in the woods , talking about the graces of nature and enjoying the annoyed look on Lisbon's face and teasing her about being a city girl .
There was no signal and no way to contact any body and they both feared they were completely on their own .
' look at this ..it's so beautiful .. this place and that ' Jane stared at one tree and Lisbon stopped and looked at him warily ' Jane it's just an old tree'.
Jane shook his head ' No it's so big and old .. like the mother of the woods ..it's like a place from a dream '.
Lisbon chuckled ' What had the heat done to your brain Jane .. mother tree really '.
Jane ignored her sarcasm and walked towards the tree and moving behind it followed by Lisbon but suddenly they both felt a Jolt run through their body .
' Did you feel that ?' Lisbon asked a little dizzy .
' yes ' said Jane .
And suddenly they both saw a ball of light widening in the sky just above them and they both startled ..they were just in the middle of the day .
And a voice came from inside it and called her name ' Lisbon ' .
Now she was terrified and looked at Jane for some kind of explanation but he was just as scared as she was .
And suddenly Lisbon felt herself get drawn to it but not Jane and it became so strong that it left her off her feet as if some one was pulling her inside and she started screaming ' No Jane , help me '.
Jane held to her hand and pulled so hard ' Lisbon , don't leave me '.
Jane kept pulling her fighting against that mysterious light but it was so strong and her hands started sliding ' Jane ' she screamed but it was so strong and suddenly they were both separated and she was swallowed into the light to vanish after that leaving Jane who fell on the ground staring in horror and disbelief .

She opened her eyes and screamed 'Jane '.
Jane wasn't there instead there were Cho and vanpelt who smiled ' Lisbon ..welcome back '.
Lisbon didn't seem to be seeing them looking around her mind adjusting to the place and realized it was a hospital .
' What happened ..where is Jane ?' she asked and they looked at each other both willing the other to reply to her question .
' I am sorry boss .. Jane didn't make it ' Cho said and Vanpelt's eyes started tearing .
Lisbon closed her eyes willing the memories to come back ..what were they talking about ?

She stared at his grave for so long .
Why did he have to die In the car crash and not her .
If she had fought harder she would have been with him but now he was so far away .. haunting the woods free of all mortal pain enjoying the power of sun and air ..even free of time ..he would never grow older ..if only she could join him .. maybe she would .
Vanpelt put a hand on her shoulder ' He is in a better place '.
Lisbon didn't look at her but at an old tree so far away very similar to the one Jane had found .
' Yes , he has found never land '.
