The Rose: Chapter One
Pan sits in the same chair everyday for about an hour, but it feels like an eternity to her. She looks longingly at the single crimson rose. She has been watching and wanting the rose to writher away slowly, just like Trunks did throughout her life.
Trunks gave her the rose when he confessed his love to her three years ago. Trunks had his mother, Bulma put a special potion in the water that the rose is placed in. The rose will not writher away as lon gas it is in the water.
A single tear runs down her delicate face. "I need to move on." says Pan in a strangled voice. "What am i supposed to do with my life?" she whispers. Pan took the rose further out of the water, watching as more petals turn brown and float slowly down on to the marble table top.
Pan moved back in with her parents, Goan and Videl. She can't stand living in Capsule Corp. anymore. Pan can not go in there, to many good and bad memories come flooding back into her, invading her mind.
Gohan and videl are standing outside her door. "Pan is crying again, Videl, I can not stand seeing her like this!" Gohan whispers. Videl walks over to Gohan and hugs her husband wanting to cry too. "Oh Gohan, we have to do something." "I know honey," says Gohan. "I am going to go in there and try to talk to her." whispers Videl. "Okay, good luck!" says Gohan as he hugs her again.
Videl softly opens the door to Pan's room. The room is dimmly lit, but she can see Pan sitting in her chair hugging her knees and crying as she watches the rose writher away. "Hey baby, its okay, don't cry," whispers Videl. Videl draws Pan into her arms and Pan drops the rose on to the table. Videl notices this and slowly takes one arm away from around Pan. "Mom, waht am I supposed to do?" cries Pan into her mother's shoulder. "Pan, honey, you don't have to do anything, just have some hope, okay?" says Videl. Pan just cries harder into Videl's shoulder. "Don't worry baby, I will make sure everything gets better, I promise!" whispers Videl. "Now get some rest." Pan lays down on her bed. Videl gets up and softly shuts Pan's bedroom door.
Gohan does not support Pan's decision of being mates with Trunks, but he will do anything to make her happy again. He hates seeing her so depressed and lifeless. He is set on getting Trunks back. Gohan is pacing in the hallway when Videl comes out of Pan's room. "Gohan, what are we going to do?" whispers Videl. "Lets talk with Bulma and maybe even Vegeta, I'm sure we can do something," states Gohan. "What are going to do with Pan all day?" says Videl."Lets have Bra or maybe Goten spend the day with her. They can try and cheer her up for at least a couple of hours." says Gohan as he gently kisses his wife. "Alright, lets do that, I will call Bulma to let her know that we are going to come over tomorrow morning."
