Louie sank into the couch, the remote beside him.
On the television, the sound of a ringing bell signaled the start of yet another Sailor Moon episode.
Well, it started, guess I shouldn't bother changing it.
He reached over towards the bowl of cheese puffs on the table next to the couch. His hand fell short of the bowl. He sighed.
At that moment, Webby entered the room. "Hey, Louie! Whatcha watching?"
"Uh…" He paused for a moment, trying to recall. "…Sailor Moon."
"Ooh!" Webby exclaimed. "I love that show! What episode are you on?"
"Uh…I think…I don't know, far?"
"What do you mean?"
"I turned on the tv like…5 hours ago, and it was on, but I couldn't reach the remote."
Webby's eyes widened. "5 hours? You watched Sailor Moon for 5 hours straight?"
He nodded.
"Well, do you like it?"
He shrugged.
She sat down next to him, grabbing the bowl of cheese puffs and putting it on her lap.
Finally able to reach the bowl, Louie occasionally ate some of them along with her.
At one point in the show, Sailor Moon held her hand out in the air. "Moon Prism Power, Make Up!" She shouted as nail polish magically appeared on her hand.
Webby jumped up and stood in front of the TV. "I've always wanted to be a Sailor Guardian like her!" She held her hand in the air and imitated Sailor Moon's transformation phrase.
She turned to Louie and pointed at him. "In the name of the moon, I'll punish you!"
Louie gestured his hand to the side. "I can't see the tv, can you…"
"Oh." Webby sat down back on the couch.
She continued to watch the show. She looked back at Louie for a moment, and then back at the television.
"Hey, Louie, do you want to reenact a scene from this show with me?"
Louie scoffed. "Why? This couch is just fine."
"Well, I'll get you a special surprise present if you do."
Louie looked at her. "Hmm, is it a new phone? Or some candy? Or a second tv remote or something?"
"You'll only find out if you reenact it with me."
Louie sighed. "Fine, but this better be worth it."
"Seriously, why?" Louie said as he stood underneath one of the mansion's balconies. He wore a black blanket around his neck as a cape as well as a cheap plastic mask on his eyes.
"Because it's fun!" Webby shouted back. She was standing on top of the balcony, wearing a pink dress and holding a parasol.
"This is ridiculous…" he muttered under his breath.
"Okay, on three, ready?" She called out. "One…two…three!" She jumped off of the balcony and held her parasol out above her head.
As Webby fell towards him, he jumped up to catch her. "I'll save you!" He said flatly.
She opened the parasol. "Hey wait, why aren't I floating…" She said quietly with a hint of alarm.
Louie put his arms around Webby as they both fell onto the ground. "Ouch…" Louie said. "I think I scraped my back…what was the point of this again?"
"For fun! That was awesome! Although it kinda hurt…" Webby brushed dirt off of her dress.
"Oh wait, you had a present for me didn't you?"
"Yep!"
"Well? What is it?" Louie asked impatiently.
Webby placed her hands on Louie's shoulders and kissed him on the cheek.
Louie blushed a bit. "…wait, that was it? No new phone or anything?"
Webby averted her gaze towards the ground and nodded.
Louie took the mask off of his face. "Well…guess I'm going back to watch Sailor Moon. I think the TV's still on." He started to walk back towards the mansion.
After a moment he stopped walking and looked back at her. "Um, are you coming? I don't have all day."
Webby looked up. "Oh, sure!" She jogged after him.
