night terrors
gaara's head began to spin as he saw the village a blaze (i...i failed to...i..c-couldn't stop him i couldn't save the village).
gaara's legs gave out as he collapsed to the ground, beating his fistinto the dirt.
naruto stopped gaara as he began flipping out in his sleep shouting "I'LL KILL HIM", before naruto managed to get his love to calm down temari and kankuro rushed into the room. temari saw gaara and ran out and got some ice cold water, she filled a bucket with it, when she returned she splashed it on gaara soaking him and naruto both, who was trying to keep him from killing anyone.
gaara's eye's snapped open and he glared at temari and shouted "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR", he had his arms crossed over his chest and she stated "you were flipping out what was i supposed to do".
gaara: wake me up
temari: that's the only way to wake you up when you have nightmares
kankuro sighed as he and temari left, naruto turned his gaze to gaara and stated "you wanna tell me about it", gaara shook his head and naruto put on his puppy pout and stated "pwetty pwease gaawa".
naruto (i got him right where i want him now), gaara sighed (damn he's just too damn cute), gaara sighed and stated "a nightmare, i failed to save suna, and the village was ablaze and there were corpses everywhere", naruto wrapped his arms around gaara and pulled him close so that gaara's head rested on his neck he stroked the back of gaara's head and stated "i promise you i won't let you handle things alone if it came down to it".
gaara smiled a soft smile and stated "but you can't stay here forever you still want to be hokage right", naruto smiled and stated "of course!", gaara wrapped his arms arpund naruto and stated "i will protect this village and those precious to me, just as you do for the people you care for", naruto smiled and stated "gaara you're one of my precious people too".
gaara's eye's widened in shock as naruto's lips collided with his, gaara's hands snaked their way around naruto's waist and he pulled him closer deepening the kiss.
when they pulled apart for air, naruto grinned and sstated "i love you gaara as strange as it may seem", gaara shook his head and stated "i love you too naruto", naruto kissed his cheek and stated "come on lord kazekage let's get some sleep", naruto crawled in gaara's bed and gaara lay down beside him and naruto wrapped his arms around gaara's waist pulling him closer to him.
naruto snuggled up to gaara and whispered in his ear "night terrors aren't all that bad, when you have someone to snuggle them away", gaara sighed in contentment and stated "yeah".
