"Norwaaay!" Denmark whined.

"No." Norway said over the phone.

"Please?"

"No way Denmark, I've paid for you three times this week already! You owe me like $80."

"Pretty, pretty pweeaaase? Can you at least pick me up?" Denmark begged.

Click.

Denmark sighed as his best friend hung up on him, "Damn this sucks."

The bartender glared at him, "Let me guess, you want me to put it on your tab?"

The Danish man smiled weakly, "How didja guess?"

"I know you too well for my own good. If you weren't my best and favorite customer, I wouldn't be so lenient."

"I know, I know. Thanks man."

The bartender nodded, "So you walking home then?"

"Havetah, I don't have a cab and I don't think Norway's going to pick me up this time around."

"Well, be careful when you're heading home." The bartender warned him.

"Yeah thanks." Denmark said and zipped up his coat and left with a friendly wave.

Denmark was heading towards his house and was heading across the street when all of a sudden a car was screeching down the street and Denmark blanked out.

He woke up a while later and looked over his body and found that he was fine. "Uhn!" Denmark sighed as he fell back on the soft fluffy pillow.

"Oh good, you're still among the living." Norway said as he came into the room.

"Nor? What are you doing here?"

"I live here, you idiot, how are you feeling?"

"Weird…it's like I'm totally tired yet bursting with energy."

"Well I guess that's what happens when you almost get hit by a rogue car."

"Almost?"

"Yeah, I saved you, you dumbass."

"But how you were able to get to me in time?"

"I was heading over to pick you up."

"But you didn't say you were going to, I was heading home because I thought you weren't-,"

"You moron, you're my best friend, I may not always show it damn it, but I worry about you! I didn't answer you before, because for one, I thought you would know better that I would come for you and two, I figured that you would be lazy enough to stay there until I worried myself to the point to come pick you up anyways."

Denmark smiled impishly, "Aw Nory! You care about me!"

"W-what? N-No I…that's not true, I'm just a friend who cares too much for my own good, you know, the whole 'what are friends for' thing and such." Norway said with a deep blush.

Denmark pulled Norway closer to him by his wrist, till their noses were only an inch away, "Admit it Norway, you care about me." He grinned widely.

"That's absurd! Why would anyone in their right mind care about-,"

Demark pulled Norway closer and held him into the kiss, and then withdrew with amused eyes, "-you."

Denmark smiled, "Because you worry your head off about me, like a woman with a drunk husband. You love me."

"And you're still drunk." Norway said trying to pull away.

"Admit it damn it!" Denmark said with demand and a hint of a plead, his eyes gazing into Norway's trying to find the other man's hidden feelings beneath the cool exterior.

"I would never admit to anything like that."

"Ah hah! So you may not admit it, but you're not saying it isn't possible that you love me!" The Dane laughed.

Norway smacked him hard across the face, "Just don't you ever leave that bar again without notifying me! Do you understand!" Then he forced a punishing kiss on Denmark and then hastily left. Leaving the Dane in a daze of satisfaction and a small smile.
