'Wow. I can't believe this day has finally come. It seems just yesterday that he proposed; and now, here I am, two years later getting ready for my wedding day,' Ginny Weasley thought while looking out the window of her flat.
She turned around to start getting ready when someone walked in, namely, a certain bushy-haired someone.
"Knock-knock!" Hermione said as she came in. "How's it going?"
"Just fine, 'Mione," Ginny replied.
"Ginny, you don't even have your dress on yet. Get a move on girl!!"
Ginny glanced down at her wedding dress. She had seen it in a muggle shop when she went to the mall with Hermione. She decided she would wear it instead of robes for her wedding, she thought it might look better.
"Yeah, I suppose I should get dressed huh. Could you help me with it?"
"Sure, I doubt you could tie up the corset strings by yourself, unless you used magic on it," Hermione said picking up the dress.
"Well, I guess I probably could have done that, but I would rather have someone in here with me any way."
"Yeah, I kind-of figured that you would, that's why I showed up."
"Hey, where are Luna and Fleur? Are they still getting ready or what?"
"Well, Fleur is trying to do something with Luna's hair. It's so long!! You know Fleur, always trying make the world more beautiful," Hermione said rolling her eyes.
Once Ginny had her dress on, she started on her hair. She thought for a minute before casting a spell on it and changing to a loose curly mass with little tendrils of hair framing her face.
"Hmm…that looks good. What do you think 'Mione?" Ginny asked while examining it from every angle.
"Perfect, Gin. Now, do you want me to go pry Fleur off Luna so she can do your make-up?"
"Yeah, might as well. I've never been too good with make-up myself, so she better do it."
As soon as Hermione left, Ginny heard someone else come into her room. She looked up to see her mother standing in the doorway.
"My little baby, oh, you're so grown up!" Molly said as she walked over to her youngest and only daughter. She went to gather Ginny up into one of her infamous Molly-Weasley-motherly-hugs, when she stopped herself and straightened back up.
"I suppose you are too old for me to hug you like that now, aren't you?"
Ginny took one look at her mother's downcast face and walked over to her to hug just as tight as she had when she was younger.
"Oh, Ginny dear, you're an absolute vision, I always knew you would make a beautiful bride," Molly said with a small sniffle.
Just then, a small girl with platinum blonde hair and striking blue eyes came in wearing a deep maroon dress and carrying a basket with red rose petals in it.
"Hello Adelais, don't you look pretty all dressed up," Ginny cooed at her niece. (Adelais and her twin brother Dominic were Fleur and Bill's kids, four years old.) "Are you ready to be my flower girl?"
"Yes, I am," Adelais answered as sophisticated as a four-year old could be.
"Where's your brother?" Molly asked suddenly noticing that he wasn't with her.
"Mommy is making sure that he looks good and that his clothes don't get all messed up…boys," she answered with a frustrated sigh.
Ginny laughed at her little niece knowing that she would be turning boys' heads from the day she started school. She sat down in front of her mirror and thought about how her fiancé would be doing right know. He was with her brothers after all…oh boy.
