Disclaimer: The characters in this writing are copyright to John Wells, Warner Bros and NBC, I just took them for a little creative walk in the park and I'll bring them right back. After giving Bosco a comforting hug that is. :p

I'm in the UK, and Third Watch is no longer showing here, I have *not* seen this episode, or any of season 2, I have just read some of it up on episode guides, so any mistakes...or things I've got wrong, please remember that! :-) This is just something I added after reading an episode guide for "Know Thyself"

A brush of cool late night air ran over Bosco as he stepped out of the ER entrance, and shoved his hands into his pockets, making his way slowly back to the street. He kept his gaze to the ground, avoiding any invitation for conversation, he just wanted to take his mind somewhere else and forget all about the day he had just had. A cold feeling in his stomach insisted on being noticed, even though he tried hard to push it down, way down to his feet and tread it into the
sidewalk. Shivering slightly, he turned into a coffee bar that was still open and ordered a Cappuccino, hoping it would help him forget. Deciding against staying in the coffee bar, he wrapped his hands around the foam cup and started the walk back to the station to pick up his
car. No matter how hard he tried to stop it, his mind wondered back to his 10th birthday. For some reason, this hideous period seemed to flash back into his mind when he felt alone and scared. He was hanging around in his bedroom, waiting for his mum to come in and get him, he
could hear her in the kitchen getting things ready. The excitement rose within him like a balloon floating to the ceiling. Just as quickly it was popped by the sound of yelling coming from outside his door. Kneeling down, he listened through the door to the familiar arguments
between his parents. After 5 minutes or so, the volume had risen to it's peak, and just as quickly as it started, it stopped again. He sat back quickly, his back against the door, trembling slightly. If his dad was still really mad, he'd come looking for him, find a reason to get mad at him and hit him too. Heck if he was really mad, he wouldn't even need a reason, he'd just do it anyway. The footsteps got closer to his door, the sick feeling rose up and up as they got even closer...
He stopped walking as he reached his car and shuddered, banishing the memory from his mind. The silence was broken by the sound of his phone ringing. He pulled it from his pocket and checked the caller
id on the screen. A feeling on anger hit him, along with a wave of
loneliness and a stab of hurt. Part of him was desperate for answer it,
she could take him out of those memories, but the other part of him
was stubborn and refused to answer it. If she wanted to apologise,
then she could damn well come and find him rather than just calling
him. He turned the phone off and unlocked the car, getting in. Turning
up the heater, Bosco pulled out of his parking space, and fought against
the guilt which was starting to engulf him. He'd been a right jerk earlier,
no matter whether Faith had lied to him, which she had, he shouldn't have
reacted the way he did...but then she shouldn't have walked out of the ER,
leaving him on his own. He felt even worse realising he didn't know where
she was staying. She'd told him Fred asked her to leave, right before telling
him that she lied to him too. He'd been so hurt and shocked that she looked
him in the eyes and lied to him about something to big, he didn't ask if
she was ok. And now he felt like a right jack ass. Without being fully
aware of what he was doing, he turned away from his route home and
turned back in the direction of her apartment, just in case she was
back home......
