The bullet entered her flesh so quickly. Tearing through the material of her t-shirt and penetrating through her pale, innocent skin. And with every loss of breath she experienced, her body sunk deeper into unconsciousness…
HOURS EARLIER:
The team had a lead on a case. Suspect was last spotted in a secluded area of the city in an old workhouse just off the major roads.
Mac had gotten the call and had instructed all the Csi's and officers to approach the suspect with a loaded weapon as it was undetermined if he was armed or not.
Jo had separated from her team and had chased the suspect through the dark and wet floors of the empty building. Finally when the pair had reached a dead end, the suspect stopped. Unbeknown to Jo, another suspect had a gun pointed straight at her from behind. In one flash she was falling to the ground clutching her abdomen whilst the two unidentified suspects ran and left the CSI for dead…
