"Do you know how to get rid of hiccups?" Kate asked, entering Abby's lab.

"Drink water upside down and hold your breath," Abby replied, spinning around.

"I've al…ready tired th…hat" Kate hiccupped.

"Have you see Ducky? Maybe he can help further?" Abby queried.

"Ye…ss he is t…he who suggest…ed wha…t you sa…id," Kate frowned.

"Um…" Abby paused and burst into laughter.

"This is…n't funny Ab…bby," Kate scolded.

"Death by a thousand hiccups!" Abby roared.

"Th…anks for n…oth…ing!" Kate huffed.

"Kate wait!" Abby cried suddenly, pulling her back.

"Wh…hat?" Kate growled.

"I know how to cure the hiccups!" Gibbs mumbled behind her. Kate spun around to stare into the eyes of her boss.

"Gi…ibbs," she cried in surprise as Gibbs moved forward and placed a finger on her lips. Her heart began to race as she stared at his blues eye and saw a hint of kindness. Gibbs bent his head to the side and kissed her. Kate was taken by complete and utter surprise; she began to move away from him.

"Oh no you don't!" Gibbs mumbled still kissing her as he out his arms around Kate and pulled her close.

"Oh Gibbs! I love you with all my heart and have since I first saw you!" Kate whispered ending the kiss.

"What did you say?" Gibbs questioned as he jaw dropped open.

"About bloody time!" Abby shouted happily.

"Where's Kate?" Gibbs asked entering the squad room.

"She mumbled something about seeing Ducky. Petty Officer Harrold not there?" Tony asked, looking up from his computer.

"No," Gibbs shook, turning around, heading for the lift down to autopsy. It felt like a million years had passed when Gibbs finally exited the lift and walked through the sliding door of autopsy to find Ducky still examining the young girl's body.

"Ah, Jethro! Just in time, I found a rather unusual mark on the back of the poor girl's neck," Ducky said, turning the females head to the side.

"I'm more interested if Kate is here," Gibbs said, looking around the empty room.

"I'm afraid she has left to see Abby. Poor Caitlin has a rather nasty set of hiccups…" Ducky explained but Gibbs had already tuned out.

"You can't go on living your life denying it! You are going to have to tell her," Abby frowned.

"Seriously Abby, she won't accept!" Gibbs argued.

"And how do you know that if you never tell her!" Abby demanded.

"I just do!" Gibbs sighed.

"You can't know that for certain! It may have quite the opposite effect than you think, she may say 'Oh Gibbs! I love you with all my heart and have since I first saw you!'" Abby said, imitating Kate's voice.

"Unlikely," Gibbs whispered.

"Snap out of it!" Abby shouted, slapping the back of his head.

"Abby!" Gibbs cried.

"You got to take risks in your life! She may reject you in which case you go all depressive and quit your job and then Kate will want to be with you out of guilt. Or the other scenario is Kate has been in love with you from day one because you are on handsome hunk!" Abby rambled. "It's up to you. You can be eternally happy or miserable for the rest of your life," Abby continued when Gibbs said nothing.

"Jethro?" Ducky called, bringing Gibbs back to the present.

"Hmmm?" Gibbs muttered.

"Is everything alright?" Ducky asked, putting down the scalpel.

"Yes, yes. It's all fine," Gibbs muttered, heading for the lift.
