Hello. This is a kind of poem I wrote about Esme's abusive relationship with her husband Charles (before she was turned into a vampire). I rated it T since it deals with sensitive issues, but I promise it will end on a good note if you want to keep reading. Oh, and please review if you liked it.

Facing down to the floor,

She bows to his raised back hand.

As she winced from the tragic blow,

She lays her body along the rock solid ground.

She flees to the heavens above

Flying amongst the pain.

Her wings glow with the red glint among the clouds.

A sudden burning within her soul brings her

Painfully back to the knees she was bound to lean upon.

The bruises on her body shall never heal;

Never fade.

Just another sinful scar engraved in her soul.

But as she's finally tired of the insecurities,

Her screams shall for once be told.

The story of tragedy will arise.

She with stands the burning that's eating away her flesh

And pulls herself up.

No longer on her knees,

She screams the words she was always afraid to

Bring out of her soul.

No longer bound, she cries,

"I've had enough abuse. Nor my heart, nor soul shall suffer

The fate you shine into my black and blue eyes. You made me strong

From this hurt. I'm done with you. Forever."

Escaping her tragedy,

Walking away forever,

She knows this life is hers.

She leads herself away on a new path

Whispering to the tainted ears,

"You made me strong."
