Akuma wa kyūketsuki ni au toki
Blood…blood everywhere.
Of every color. Blue, black, red.
The hoards of demon…never ending.
And as seconds turned to minutes, minutes turned to hours, and finally, as hours turns to days…they dissipated into nothingness.
All that was left was a fragile girl hunched over in the middle of everything, her sword clutched in shaking petite hands.
Thoughts seemed to disappear as soon as the demons did, the only thing on her mind was her lover.
She quickly scanned the battlefield for silver hair or a red robe. There. To her right, an unmoving figure upon the ground.
Ignoring her wounds the female dropped her sword and ran towards the body.
Soon falling to her knees she checked for any indication of life. None.
"Inuyasha…" She whispered brokenly.
She gathered the male into her arms and slowly droplets began to fall from the darkened sky, just as tears formed in her eyes.
Innocent droplets soon turned into pellets pounding against the earth and washing away all the blood and pain.
The surroundings blurred with the water, colors formed new ones and not before long the colors intertwined to black.
She sat in the darkness clinging to her dead lover and soon the girl could feel the touch of her love slowly disintegrate.
Sobbing the she drew herself into a ball and sat there. For days? Weeks? She couldn't tell really.
She drowned in her despair, believing there was no worth to living in this cruel world.
"Okaa-san?" A voice echoed in the void.
The women's head shot up and looked around frantically.
"Shippo?" she questioned.
"We're going to be late! You have to get up Okaa-san."
"late…for what…?"
"We are going to see auntie Raven, remember?"
'Auntie Raven…?' she thought.
A sudden light flashed in the darkness.
T-this was a dream!..….no not a dream.
A memory.
The darkness vanished and in its place were two emeralds.
The women looked around the room. Yep. Most defiantly not a battlefield in the middle of the woods.
Looking over at her adopted son, Kagome let out a long sigh.
She through off her silver and blue pattern comforter, stood up, and managed a peak at her alarm clock

Why in bloody hell did she schedule a plane in the morning!
Running quickly to her bathroom, Kagome did a quick scrub down.
Luckily for her, she packed last night.
Dashing out of her bathroom she had enough time to pick up Shippo, grab her keys, and throw on the now completed jewel around her neck, before running out the door.
"Okaa-san!" Shippo yelled halting Kagome in her tracks.
"Yes, sweetie?"
"You forgot your shoes!"
