She looked down, taking in her apparel. She knew this had been a bad idea, but once Lily got a plan, there was no talking her out of it. Right now, she looked no better than a common prostitute. Why, oh why had she agreed to this.
"C'mon, Shan! It'll be fine." Lily had said to her, but she had doubts.
She was meant to be dressed as a pirate for Halloween, but really, it was just a black leather mini skirt, teamed with a striped, spaghetti-strap top, that didn't even connect to her bellybutton. Her shoes were high-heeled boots, placed over ripped fishnet tights, which she thought just looked trashy, but was apparently "so in." She wore a red and black fingerless glove on one hand, with a Jack Sparrow style pirate hat on her head. Her blonde hair was curled and left to hang down her back. She had flawless looking makeup; there was not a blemish in sight. To be quite honest, she thought she looked like a stripper.
Lily, her best friend, was acting very...out of the ordinary, but then again, it was Halloween. She had probably been drinking since midday. There was no way, that Lily, in her right mind, would have worn next-to-nothing in a club, dancing with people she had never seen before. Shannon sighed, what was with all these Muggle traditions? And their alcohol...it tasted disgusting compared to what she was used to.
Shannon felt wary, in an outfit so tight and small, there was no place to put her wand, so she had to put it in her small clutch purse, which was currently in the cloakroom of the Muggle club, (Why it was called a cloakroom, Shannon was unsure. For there was nothing remotely like a cloak in sight!)
Shannon looked around, the only person she actually knew at the club was Lily, though she thought she had recognised one of the boys from her Transfigurations class, though she couldn't remember his name. Lily would know his name, though...she had been to school with him since they were first years; Shannon had only joined Hogwarts this September, as she had only just moved to the UK. She had heard of Hogwarts in her previous school, though. It was supposed to be the best school around...especially with the world renowned Dumbledore as head.
The lonely girl looked around the club, trying to spot Lily as she had somehow managed to disappear. When Lily was nowhere in sight, Shannon thought she had just gone to the toilet, so went to check for her there. But when she got there, there was no sign that anyone had been in there at all that night. Shannon just shrugged it off, Lily was a smart girl, she wouldn't get into any trouble. Or so Shannon hoped.
