'Merlin, is it cold in here, or is it just me?' Sprout thought worriedly as she entered the Staff Room. Most of the other teachers looked just as glum as she felt, seeing that the two teachers were at it again.
'It was an accident, Severus! The staircase moved on them!' Minerva McGonagall cried.
'Accident or no, they still wandered onto the third floor corridor! Potter, Weasley and Granger should be expelled!' Severus Snape snarled back.
'They didn't know!'
'They should've waited for the staircase to move back!'
'They're 1st years; they didn't know how long it would take for it to change back!'
'They should be expelled, Minerva, and you know it! Potter shouldn't be getting the special treatment like this! He needs to know he's not going to have everything handed to him on a silver platter!' Severus hit his clenched fist on the windowsill.
'Harry Potter is not getting the special treatment!' Minerva shrieked. 'If anyone else had done the exact same thing, I would say the exact same thing! It was an accident, and they shall not be expelled!'
'They stumbled upon Hagrid's three headed dog, and no doubt Granger used her eyes and saw the trap door! They then proceeded to enter the third floor corridor again and got past it! Granger blasted the Devil's Snare, Weasley broke you're chess pieces, Potter got past Fillius' charmed keys using his precious Quidditch skills, Granger solved my Potions riddle and Potter found the Mirror of Erised after the headmaster specifically stated not to go looking for it again!'
'He didn't go looking for it! He didn't know it was there!'
'Is there a problem here?' Albus Dumbledore swept into the room, casting Severus and Minerva a disapproving glare. Fillius Flitwick trailed in behind him, having just informed the Headmaster of the disturbance.
'Severus here is insisting that Potter, Weasley and Granger should be expelled when they shouldn't!' Minerva told him haughtily. There were red patches on her cheeks from yelling and her hair was not in its strict bun.
'They should, Minerva!' Severus cut in, his eyes narrowed.
'Severus,' Albus said sternly. 'I have told you before that those three students are not to be expelled, and that's final.'
Severus looked away, knowing better to argue. 'At least,' He thought with a small spark of savage pleasure. 'I can take it out on those stupid dim witted 3rd years that I have class with this afternoon.'
XoXoXoX
'Well, Snape was being even more of an asshole than usual,' Fred said angrily as he took a seat in the Gryffindor Common Room.
'Made us stay behind after class and scrub the whole room out just for passing notes…' George added as he sat next to him.
'Oh, yeah,' Harry muttered glumly as he finished off his Transfiguration homework. 'Sorry about that.'
This was just a bit of randomness. Hope you liked!
