Once-ler was sadly looking out of the window. Why couldn't he have someone to be happy with? Gazing dreamily out of the window he thought about these troubles.
Audrey was walking down the sidewalk of thneedville. "When will I get to see a real tree?" She mumbled to herself. Audrey was a very beautiful 17 year old and she daydreamed a lot. She also was always being crushed on by a 13 year old named Ted. Even though he had stopped liking her a few years ago he still occasionally said hello.
She started running to get home before the O'hare delivery man got there. She enjoyed giving him a warm hello and a friendly smile. Once she was home she greeted him and ran up to her room. She sighed and layed down on her bed aching all over. "until tomorrow." She said a few hours later curled up in bed. She fell asleep with the honking of cars outside.
The Lorax floated down from the sky with a happy feeling to see the trees growing back. He knocked on the Once-ler's door and it slowly creaked open. He saw a man with a long green coat and big hat answer. "Hello." The Lorax said. "Hi, Why are you here?" the once-ler replied. "I will grant you one wish since you are helping the trees grow back." He replied. "This is a joke." He said closing the door. "No I promise it isn't anything you want I will grant." The once-ler opened the door slowly. "I want to be young again and meet a beautiful girl."
Everything was a white blur and then went back to normal. As the Once-ler looked down her was in his usual attire and was young again. "He wasn't lying." He said to himself standing in the now moonlit green forest.
Audrey awoke to sunlight on her face as her eyes snapped open she saw beautiful truffula trees. "Wha.." she barely managed to get out as she leaned up. A beautiful forest was surrounding her and she yipped with delight at the sight of trees.
A few hours later Audrey had a sketchbook drawing a scenery of trees and meadows when she heard a guitar. She got up to explore where the music was coming from. She saw a raven haired boy sitting and leaning his back on a tree. He was strumming his guitar and humming to himself. She walked up closer to get a better look. "hello, I'm Audrey." His head shot up and turned red as he saw Audrey.
