Ok people, if you are reading this, good for you. Read to your heart's content.
Chapter 1:
"Eugene, she's beautiful"
"I know, Rapunzel. Almost as gorgeous as you"
"You're so sweet."
"What should we name her?"
"What about, Tansela?"
"I think that's a wonderful name, Rapunzel."
Rapunzel and Eugene were on the balcony one morning, holding the new princess, their daughter, Tansela. Everything was perfect. They were one, big, happy, royal family. Rapunzel looked up and saw Eugene's big, blue eyes staring back at her. The same eyes that adventured into her tower. The same eyes that she knocked out with a frying pan. The same eyes that gazed out at the glowing lanterns with her. The same eyes that she brought back to life with love. The same eyes that married her. The same eyes that little Tansela was wearing right now.
Fifteen Years Later
"Mom, I want to take singing lessons. All the other girls sing. Why can't I?"
"Tansela, I will tell you when you're older."
"That is the worst answer a parent can give." Tansela continued, "just because you don't sing, doesn't mean I can't!"
"Tansela…"
"Mom, I'm going to sing right now"
"Tansela, no!"
"Flower gleam and glow" she kept singing, "let your powers shine"
Tansela peered down at her long, blond hair. She had never sang before in her life. She nearly fainted. For her blond hair was glowing. "Mom… what is happening?"
Rapunzel sighed, and sat down on the bench. "Tansela, sit down."
Tansela plopped down beside her Mother, holding her hair gingerly as if it was going to catch fire.
Rapunzel started, "When I was young I had long, blond hair just like you. But I was not raised as royalty. I was kidnapped by an evil woman. She did this because her immortality rested in my hair. I know this is hard to understand. But when I sang, my hair would glow, and heal things or make them young again. Your Father helped me by cutting my hair, thus killing the evil woman. My hair turned brown." Rapunzel looked up at her daughter, took a deep breath, and continued, "I only hoped that if I kept you from singing, no one figure out about your hair, and the same thing wouldn't happen to you"
"I'm sorry Mom, I didn't know."
"Don't blame yourself."
"I love you Mom"
Rapunzel closed her eyes as they started to hug. But then didn't feel her daughter. So she opened her eyes. Tansela was gone. She looked across the balcony and a black cap sweeped up and disappeared. "No, Tansela!"
Please review, oh please. If I don't get at least five reviews I'm not going to make a chapter 2.
