It was a most quiet car ride. Maybe Burukku expected the date to be more…blind, but she was already being pushed off with her childhood friend, roommate, and crush at the first mention of wanting a date. Matt was quiet always, but now the atmosphere around him was more than a little awkward. Especially since he had chosen the location for the 'blind' date.

"Can we turn on the radio?" She asked. He replied with a sigh and a nod; she responded with an eyebrow raise.

What was the sigh for? Does he find me annoying just for asking…?

She also sighed and reached for the power button, unaware that he was also reaching for it. Matt's hands were usually covered with his gloves, but he had decided to not wear them since he was wearing a tuxedo. They're hands clashed for a moment, just skin against skin. Then he reached for the lighter and lit a cigarette. He also nonchalantly rolled down the window, knowing that she might not like the smell of smoke. Or just the smoke itself.

Burukku was still a bit shocked. Pressing the button after a quick recovery, she slid further into her seat and blushed. She was timid and afraid to meet Matt's darting eyes. He looked at the road, then to her, then to the cigarette, then back to the road…then to her pleading eyes.

Just his luck that they were stopped at the red light. He looked at her, his mouth agape slightly. She looked quite…lovely this way. The neon light illuminated her hair, a pink was in her cheeks, and her eyes….oh her eyes. She shut them and his followed. They leaned in…and the natural movement of red to green occurred. He pulled away and drove on. Even the radio couldn't conceal the silence and developing awkwardness.

They arrived at the destination a bit swifter than as expected, but they felt a bit calmer. He climbed out and noticed she hadn't moved. Matt settled back and met her gaze once more. Just , there wasn't a desire anymore. He looked at her more sympathetic.

"You don't have to be so shy….Burukku-Chan…" He murmured. She breathed.

Do you love me…?

Yes…and so do you with me…
